@BrknPheonix: sure, but if it's for the unregular quick webaccess where you would have been lucky and browsed an unsecure network, then it's no problem. i use my web-over-phone access like that. a 2gb plan is enough for quite much browsing and youtube videos and such, then. just not for the "lets log on and stay

@Platypus Man: well, company internal, we have different systems, but all use/can use the same passwords, so that's no biggy. for the rest, there are password managers.

@c to: no, we melt

@BrknPheonix: do you need unlimited data? some can control their needs to be within the data plan. some can't.

@ndonahue: if a crime happens, and you're the only one that "was at the place the crime happened", then guess what, you most likely will be the one who did the crime.

@The Werewolf: so if you're somewhere, and need an internet access to check something, and find an open wlan, you don't use it?

@Platypus Man: which can be fixed by having one password, and a 1,2,3,4 (etc) at the end. or by having, say.. hunter2 (yeah), and then use hXunter2, then huXnter2, then hunXter2, and so on. some thing that is sorta rotational, easy to memorize.

@djsmiley2k: till biometric fails straight in front of a bigger gig, and you can't log in your laptop on stage. you have a dj in your nick, maybe you are one. i am one, and that f***ing thing didn't let me in. not even with password only anymore. had to boot into save mode to uninstall the software, and then enter

@njdevil spinky spank: really, it's a switch? i've always read "mute button". i don't have an ipad, and never met a mute switch yet (but tons of mute buttons). have to check it out next time i see one in a store (still have to find one who bought one around here..)

wouldn't apple style be *singleclick* to lock/unlock. doubleclick to mute/unmute or something? i'm always fascinated how they put multiple features onto one button and then call it obvious.

@Randal T Scandal: i prefer the result on dogs side. 100% porn.. the men /women is quite obvious. dog is, too.. on second thought :)

you could do that in office 2007, too.

bether don't use that user then to send stuff over to wikileaks..

my home server is filled with around 2-3tb of data. but as i need it trustable, it has all of it duplicated = around 5tb. there is some stuff that i don't actually need anymore, but most is actually useful stuff. hd takes space..

@mnoble3.1415: tons of electonic musicians do not agree.

@Jerm Deeks: worse. after all these years, those where not the trains he's been looking for.. 50000 fotos for nothing

@origosis: most apps by now are multithreaded. i know enough gamedev people to not just guess, but KNOW that. that doesn't mean they scale 100% per core, but they still benefit massively from 1 core.

@origosis: games and desktop apps use multi cores in meaningful ways since years by now. you might not have noticed that.. :)
