“Being a mechanic and thinking that Chevy’s use Ford engines? This guy needs to find another profession.”
The presumption in this country is innocence.
Seems par for the course on Kotaku
My girlfriend and I wanted to play this, but we’re on the fence about getting Japanese citizens pregnant. We have a lot on our plate already.
It’s hard for me to imagine writing a whole article based on a joke tweet by taking it way, way too seriously, but ok, here we are.
Commenting from the future just to say I’m baffled why I’m reading this non-article published 48mins ago :scratchingheademoji:
And side note: who the FUCK is digging up 2006 game reviews to get angry about them!?
Says the website with a fake Japanese name.
Isn’t it sort of...i dunno, *implied* that anything from 2006 is going to be “of it’s time?” I’m not excusing the content of what’s said but like, gaming in the early 00' ain’t exactly the most inclusive hobby.
Kelly Clarkson has a talk show?
? How did Apex Legends flop hard?
The whole community? Everybody? Or just a few without a sense of self-deprecating humor?
Actually, the disabled community has A LOT of beefs with Family Guy, and his character is a big one. Regardless of your feelings one way or another, I guarantee you that he’s been criticized and asked to apologize about the show quite a bit.
Yeah, I mean, in the after-episode Q&A one of the dudes mentioned that Ellie and Riley had probably read about the game in an old gaming magazine they had found. That makes sense and from there it’s not hard to imagine such a magazine might list the fatalities in it so that made as much sense to me as anything else.
What a cynical way to look at things, lol.
Mortal Kombat’s huge impact is far more likely to ignite some sort of emotional response from TV viewers than a fake game that is mentioned a couple times on a videogame they probably didn’t play.
What a cynical way to look at things, lol. It didn’t feel like an ad, and I think they enhanced the moment from the game by doing it this way. Plus, whether intentional or not, it’s fun to watch characters play a video game within a video game adaptation. Obviously it’s different, but in a way, it reminded me of when…
Mortal Kombat scene doesn’t feel like an Ad at all. For actual people who grew up going to arcades in the 90s and 00s its one of the most iconic games.
Or, they did it for just Japanese speakers to enjoy. Not everything is about trolling.
Oh my god, this is why my ATV would never start in the spring when I was a kid. I didn’t need to run all that Seafoam through it, I didn’t need to re-jet the carbs. I just needed to use gas that wasn’t from last fall.
