No, I'm not that parent at all. Nor am I a parent that thinks my kid needs to be literally by my side 24/7. If it's a stroller and the kid is 20 months, it's not getting out of there if you've secured it (5 point harness, etc.). My attitude with my kids has always been that as long as they can show me they can handle

Why? I did it all the time. Believe it or not, the world is not crawling with murderous psychos who want to murderize your kid!

I still have my first gen iPod touch, and I love it. Well, I tolerate it. But it's still chugging along, happily becoming less relevant by the moment with each upgrade of iOS and another app that no longer functions.

I would guess the much larger monthly bill/service contract.

You've obviously never spent any time with a kid in a stroller. It's perfectly common to leave them in the stroller and walk 5-10 feet away, particularly in a crowded store where the stroller can't maneuver between some of the racks. It's not like the mom or dad was on another floor or something (I hope).

3D Maps, from the mind of Christopher Nolan.

I love that the watch cam has the specs and brand name on it. Like some counter intelligence officer is going to be like "Heyyyyyyyy! Is that a CAMERA on your watch? I will report you t....wait, 12.5mm? NICE!"

I doubt there is any portion of the law that stipulates the condition of the means of payment, beyond you having to pay with legal tender. The bills are legal, he handed them over, case closed. If the cops don't want to unfold them, that doesn't change the basic fact that he did pay the required fine.

It's hard to know what to say...my wife lost her dad last year, and after a while all the messages of grief start to sound the same. "My thoughts are with you during this difficult time," etc. That's not to say they are not welcome and appreciated, but I found that the messages she cherished the most from friends were

Is this the guy?

You think so? I was listening to Rome when he was still doing his show in San Diego (that was, what 15 years ago?) and he didn't sound like this even then. Maybe the pacing is right, but nothing else is.

Aren't impersonators supposed to sound like the person they are impersonating?

If I'm buying it for myself, it's too expensive. If I'm buying it for my folks, who don't understand computers at all and who will either (a) mess up any backup scheme I provide them with, or (b) call me all the time at work for help figuring out how to backup their photos, it's money well spent.

Honey, there's a mess in the kitchen-cum-dining room!

It wouldn't benefit me whatsoever to have an issue with any of them, whether they were a girlfriend, or a wife, a person-of-a-month, or … you know.

James Van Der Beek is not impressed.

CostCo sells it here in Portland (and I presume most places along the west coast).

I think it hit the glove first. The fingertips of the glove are going to be a lot harder than the pocket, since the ball rarely hits that portion of the glove, so the ball would change direction, as you saw in the clip, from hitting that portion of the glove. That's what I saw, anyway.

Apparently Twitter's TOS is subjective enough that if the non-Twitter affiliated person making the complaint withdraws it, they just go ahead and pretend it didn't happen.
