My first, of course. 1980 Mercury Capri RS with a straight-6 200c.i., 3 speed auto, and light blue on blue. Bought it for $200 when I was 15. Rebuilt the motor and replaced the heater core. Car was junk, and I didn’t appreciate it at the time, but would love to have it now. Would do a motor swap and a 5- (or 6-) speed

Heater core on my ‘80 Mercury Capri. Whole dash had to be removed.

Love my razor.

Now playing

Nissan also did it with the introduction of the 350Z years back. My father was working at a Nissan dealer at the time and scored me the promo DVD. “The Run” was set in Prague.

Bought mine. ‘73.

I’m working on a 13b Baja Bug.

A twin to my ‘84 Nighthawk 700S?

A friend of mine had one of these here in the states. It was the model with the 24v setup; it was setup as a mobile generator of sorts. Park it, set the hand throttle on the dash to a higher idle, and plug in the tent city. That’s the way he described it, anyhow. Either way, the thing was damned cool.

My 1983 Mazda 626 LX had the “ICS” - Integrated Chime System. For every warning that would normally be a beep or buzzer, the car instead played a different little melody. My 1984 didn’t have it, and I have never found another reference to it.

My daily when I’m working on my Miata and when the weather’s poor is my 1978 Jeep J10. Bought it for $1200 off a farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains from the original owner.

I was 10 and my brother was 9. Mom was bored, so she took us out in her ‘78 Datsun 210 wagon (5-speed) to drive around a bit. I could barely reach the pedals, but it was fun.

I have a 1973 Volvo 1800ES that tends to get a lot of attention. One night, my wife and I headed to the movies. When I was looking for a parking spot, I noticed a (then new) beautiful blue BMW M Coupe, one of my dream cars (I have a thing for shooting brakes). I pulled in right near it so I could have a look. As I was

I wish I’d known it was a fiber timing gear... the Volvo B20 engines (such as that in my 1800ES originally) are known to have the same failure; mine’s been replaced with a steel set.

Many years back, after moving from New England to the South, and laughing at how unprepared everyone was come snow time, I thought it would be a brilliant idea to buy myself a plow truck. What’s more, the one I found on eBay was a rusty, nasty K5 Blazer with the 6.2 diesel... a horrendous purchase with which I was

‘77? Or ‘67?

Done and done.

*squeeeeee* *cough* I mean... manly grunt of tacit approval. *cough*

I had a 1983 Mazda 626 that had a feature called the “ICS,” or Integrated Chime System. For each warning, there was a little melody. My wife and I would sit in the car with the engine shut off and the headlights on just to hear the “car music.” I’ve never seen that feature again, but we loved it!

2004 Corvette, granted, only 28 miles, but $1 million?!! And it’s an automatic.
