This might be a bit better known than some, but I’ve had to explain what an early 80's Mercury Capri is a number of times. I paid $200 for an ‘80 RS when I was 15, and rebuilt the Ford 200 straight-6 in it. IMHO, better looking than the Mustang it was sister to.

Down here in the South, whenever a funeral procession goes by, everyone just... stops. Cars going in the opposite direction will simply stop in the lane they’re in. I’ve never seen anything like it. Nearly rear-ended somebody once not expecting that.

My ‘73 Volvo 1800ES. Bought it 20 years ago for too much money, fixed a bunch of mechanical problems, and it was my daily driver on and off for a long time. It’s waiting on some much-needed attention now, but man, does it get looks.

I drive a basic 2008 Ford Focus that I snagged cheap while I work on project cars. It has zero way of opening the trunk other than using the key. No release in the cabin, no key fob button. Ayup. I’ve got a base model ‘08 Focus, and I just installed an Android touchscreen stereo. My wife’s laughing at me for putting anything into that car, but it makes a huge difference.
