Ugh... just *thinking* of that scene makes me teary. Turner is acting the hell out of that movie. Cage was just doing a bit. :/

I use the little eyebrow shapers from the 99 cent store that look like scalpels.
Not only is it not #1, I don’t see it anywhere on the top HUNDRED bestselling books on Amazon. The closest I see is a book called ‘Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy’ which sits at number... um... 70.
It’s like saying killing someone is not going against the Ten Commandments because the word used is “murder” not “killing.” ::facepalm::
“And it’s gonna be red, white and blue, which I think is appropriate.”
“Are there really areas in the US that have easy access to farmer’s markets but no access to supermarkets?”
“57 of the 103 children under five included in a lawsuit filed by the ACLU in June. The remaining 46 children were “acknowledged by the the court to be ineligible for reunification,”
Also, when one of the white-supremacist organizers is nicknamed Based Stickman because of his habit of LITERALLY BEATING ANTIFA PROTESTERS WITH A LEAD PIPE AT PROTESTS, it makes sense to want to wear a motorcycle helmet or something.
I *do* wonder if the definition of ‘solitary confinement’ is different for Manafort than it is for regular prisoners. Like, being confined to a fairly spacious, well-lit room with access to TV, books, etc that’s away from the general population for ‘his own protection’ would be a lot different from the more…

“Harley customers are not happy with their move - sales are down 7% in 2017.”
It’s possible to have a DIY space *and* have it be safe, and Ghost Ship definitely didn’t do that. It was so cluttered that many of the exits were congested. There were no fire extinguishers or lit exit signs. the staircase was made of unstable palettes and one of the exit doors was flat-out locked.
I also want to point out the detail that it’s currently Pride weekend in SF, which means both that this 8-Year-Old child is business-savy as HELL because the city is full of revelers who need to hydrate, and also the police are not going to give a single solitary shit about this useless Becky’s complaints.
“I think the possible major problem with Republicans is that they have this amazing tendency to fail upwards and so it reinforces the idea that they are the smartest people in the room.”
It also gives them a skewed perspective of difficulty. “I just put in the minimal amount of work and LOOK HOW SUCCESSFUL I AM! If…
Also the ‘trash’ all looks like basic survival needs. I see clothes, blankets, small personal items in plastic bags... but sure, it’s easy to dismiss it all as a big messy trash pile when everything he owns is outside in the elements without stuff like dressers or cabinets to contain it in. I mean, no matter what the…
I’ve been working in the Bay Area providing housing and services to Tenderloin* homeless for fifteen years, so I can answer some of this for you.
“or that certain populations are more likely to be victims of crime”
Right after the election, the writers of Parks & Rec released an article ‘by Leslie Knope’ that was honestly one of the few consolable things I read that week:
