No, I think you’re right. There was a window in there after the 2008 election where I actually kind of liked her. I definitively disagreed with her on most things, but she made a big fuss about how Republicans are going to be left behind if they don’t shape up and update their views on social issues. At the time I

“Also: no love for Diamanda Galas???”

“Better than “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and I don’t care if that take some notches off my goth-adjacent cred”

Not just an idiot, but deeply unpleasant and selfish. In rewatching the series from the beginning, it’s a little jarring to see how much of an about-face his character makes in Season 4. Previously he would sometimes be a bit heavy-handed (and would learn his lesson fairly quickly) but was generally the voice of

“the Russian troll factory and 4chan were already spreading conspiracy theories and creating social media account saying he was a Clinton supporter and part of antifa”

Whatever kind of demon it makes you, we’re the same kind of demon.

I only caught the original Charmed intermittently, but did it originally have a Store-Brand Discount Giles to stammer guidance in a British accent?

Oof. This is getting me off on another common rant of mine. Every millennial I know works like three jobs and had to do unpaid internships and is still just getting by even with degrees. They work WAY harder than I ever did, and older folks still think they’re entitled babies because they want ::gasp:: enough of a

“That Jack Black record store movie too.”

This sounds like my retail experience in my 20's, except I worked at the Virgin Megastore instead of Macy’s. I feel awful for younger people today because they can never know the joys of dicking around as a record store employee like we did in the 90's. AND the economy was still balanced enough that my slacker record

I’m anticipating the people who would want to jump in and sneer about how these employees are ‘unskilled labor who shouldn’t expect a living wage in retail’ are the exact same people who would throw a fit if an HD employee can’t answer all their product questions about plumbing, electrical and mechanical work.

I could also kinda see Gina as Tom. But DEFINITELY April = Rosa.

I think Amy is most like Leslie; someone who gets super giddy about the mechanics of the job? Usually sweet and warm but can get wicked competitive? Super ambitious career-wise, but not in a way that involves stepping on others? That could be Amy OR Leslie!

This is one of those cases where I wonder if they take into account things like Hulu views when they check the ratings for these things. I was always under the impression that the show was a hit because almost everyone I talk to watches it (albeit on Hulu).

He DEFINITELY wouldn’t have voted for Trump; George Carlin pretty famously refused to vote at all.

I was wondering about that - how was the guy *trespassing*?

I was going to say the same thing - he was handed BUFFY!

I mean even Hazel in this article refers to her character as ‘Snooty,’ which I think is just everyone’s collective re-written memory because she’s not actually snooty at all. But if we’re *not* meant to dislike her, that makes Jake even more of a trash person.

I have never seen that and did not realize she was in it!

Right? She’s so the best! I wish we’d gotten to see her in more comedy roles!
