The article is conflating bandwidth with transmission time (which is essentially lag), and these are not the same thing at all.
This comment really only scratches the surface of the issues at stake here. Comments like this should be expected to dig a bit deeper.
Can’t blame the toddler. But what kinds of parents let a three year old wander around a car lot (or really any public place), presumably alone? That’s just asking for her to get hit / abducted / in various forms of trouble. A ~$9k settlement is one of the better outcomes from that sort of negligence.
Sounds like the parents have a rocky relationship with that dealer now. I’m sure there’s another dealership with in a stone’s throw that they could go to, and draw attention from a salesperson, so that they can get a concrete deal on a new car.
Unless you have a rotting body in the trunk (why would you wait that long to dump it?), if you can’t calculate good chances of escaping in under twenty seconds (making it out of sight, usually meaning you’re in a location with immediate multiple avenues to take that get and keep you out of visual range), you should…
266 miles from fermont is already another city and outside their jurisdiction anyways
But they can easily keep up with just about anything with this.
I think the price difference was made up for by not having to pay for gas, less maintenance and a longer vehicle life. Or at least that’s what the study is trying to prove.
sigh I find I have to use this gif more and more
What kind of “work” are you going to do on a Tesla, though? Oil change, spark plugs and a tank of Seafoam?
Breaking: Unexplained increase in criminal activity by suspects living 266 miles from Fremont leaves detectives baffled.
I don’t know, plenty of Tesla cabs here, does not seem to be a problem.
If the Police get rid of their Chargers for Tesla’s, how will they refill the battery? Seems shortsighted to me. Typical government...
Its got a cop battery, cop bumpers, cop seats, cop lights, cop armor. It’s a model made without an ICE motor so we don’t have to worry about gas.
Agreed! Go ahead & be a law abiding square in the right lane.
Yup, In Utah if you don’t yield to faster moving traffic REGARDLESS of speed limit its a primary offense. They were doing a big pullover sting last year to help people understand the law.
A few weeks back I passed a tractor trailer in Florida that had large letters on the back saying “If I just passed you on the right you are an asshole.” It’d be cool if he passed this guy.
It is also illegal in many/most cases to fail to yield right to faster-moving traffic, regardless of the speed limit. (As of course all good Jalops know.) RECHTSFAHREN!
How do you answer that with a straight face? “we don’t anticipate that” That man is a national hero.
