I have always wanted an apt metaphor for these vehicles, and this nails it!

The only vehicle in this whole list that’s actually interesting is the Crossfire, because it’s a weird vehicle that’s not totally ugly, totally awful or totally busted.

If you are going to be the worst neighbor in the universe and drive the whole neighborhood’s property values down by turning yours into a junkyard, live in a neighborhood with no HOA! Then nobody can say shit to you.

I’ve got an uncle who’s a doctor (well, chiropractor)

That’s the maximum possible price, you don’t have to pay that. You can get a $25k Ranger that will still be usually better optioned than the old ones everyone pines for.

Interesting data point. If you factor in track width the current ranger is ~22% smaller than the current F150. If you compare 2000 to 2000, the ranger was about ~22% smaller than the f150. If you are interested the current ranger is still 15% smaller than a 2000 F150.

More reliable cars last longer, news at 11

It is either that or a fleet of 20 something douche nozzles on crotch rockets splitting traffic at 90 mph. Maybe it is just something about motorcycles that attract a certain kind of asshole.

I’m curious if advertisers are clueless enough to fall for this. The clickthrough rate on Jalopnik has to be atrocious and getting worse with all these bad changes. Do people really pay a bunch of money for advertising and not even look at whether it’s effective? I guess the answer to that is self-evident since

Fewer miles traveled means the annual fuel savings drops. So paying a premium is harder to justify. Also, with fewer people willing to fly long distance road trips are increasing.

I seriously doubt people are changing entire vehicle purchasing decisions based on touching a gas pump once a week. On top of the fact that a huge chunk of drivers don’t have overnight access to a charge port.

I’m old enough to have seen these rust in real time as a child.

Why in gods name would you put side pipes on an off road vehicle?

well “rot” is German for “red,” and they just call tornado “tornado,” so “Tornado Red.”

German company, German paint name, rot being red.

People who critize Tesla for relying on credits to make money have a point. As other manufacturers offer more electric vehicles, Tesla’s revenue from them will decrease, so they can’t do this for another ten years. And the cars are already built with cheaper interiors than they should. With the numbers of cars they

I freaking hate stupid. There is so damn much of it around these days - and worse? They’re proud to be dumbasses. Proud. I wish it were fatal.

The Washington Sentinels, to bend reality closer to that Keanu Reeves film.
