COTD

This is one of those items someone buys as a gift which once the partner sees that gift, the partner decides maybe it’s time to move on.

These aren’t big lumbering wagons. They are small and nimble with a ton of storage out back. I’ve always enjoyed driving quick wagons. They are just as fun to drive as a sedan and are easy to load for a weekend outdoors once the back seat is down. I regret the near extinction of these in the US auto market.

Lots of people are voting with their hearts and brains and not reality. This is a nice price for a “hell no for me” vehicle. It’s right in the range for these at this age. I’ll leave it for some other “lucky” buyer.

However many stars this get is not enough. Maskless Maggie needed to shut up, turn around, and go get her mask. There needs to be some sort of force field that can be enabled when maskless idiots risk everyone else’s lives.  I feel for the store employees who were put at risk while she spouted her own strange brand of

You may be surprised, although not if you actually read the news, but at the moment GM’s employees may well be safer in the plants rather than out of work where they can join the idiots going to bars, restaurants, parks, and shopping with no masks. My company has spent significant time and expense to review work

I would buy this. A two door with a long bed and a manual in very good condition for $6K with 139K on the clock is a very nice price.  This is a great deal and an easy nice price.

All I’m saying is that profitability is not always the goal

This is a pretty simple equation. Truck sales are up so there will be a need for regulatory credit purchases from the other manufacturers. Musk will be able to sell those at a profit. His sales volume will be down since his plant was closed for a period of time. Since the company cannot make a profit from operations

You forgot the permanent lung damage.  This is serious.  Anyone who doesn’t understand the need to do the right things (mask and social distancing) are fools.  This thread seems to have spawned a few.

We have a winner.  I vote NP for a number of cars I would never drive.  I also vote CP for cars I would be happy to own but not at the posted price or not for the one offered.  There’s no way I want this in my garage, but for the right buyer...

That statement is easy for you to say.  For many, flipping jobs is not a reality.

We’ve been in no travel mode at the company since Mid-March. It will stay in place at least through July. We will re-evaluate mid-July. Based on current conditions, we will likely extend the no-travel. I normally travel ~50% with about 25% of that flying. By extending my driving, I can reduce the flying by 1/3 even

Agreed, but for this one, turbo 6 as opposed to

Eh, lower the tire pressure. I had friends who used to do this in Florida. One had an old 60's Chrysler. Maybe a New Yorker.  Another used to drive on the beach with an old Cadillac.  They never got stuck.  Maybe they were lucky.

Thanks, I guess I was B+ at a state university. Not many “C” engineers made it through chemical engineering.

I hope you missed adding /s

What’s a “C” engineer?

Yes, this was completely over-the-top judicial behavior. The judge needs a review board to evaluate if time away is needed.  In my work I am seeing a number of people starting to show signs of breaking under the COVID stress.
