If I were looking for a Jeep, I would buy a Wrangler.  If I were looking for a smaller pick-up, I would buy a Ranger.  Jeep pick-ups never sold well in the past.  They were always a niche vehicle.  This will always be a niche vehicle.  Asking for a premium for a niche vehicle won’t sway many buyers.

I believe I paid $17K for my Miata in 1997. With inflation, that is now $27K. I think you are being unrealistic in your expectations for Miata pricing.  A sub-$20K vehicle is a very tough expectation with ever increasing safety standards.

Agreed Tesla buying is like a fever. It will cool down. Tesla’s EPS is $2.14 for the quarter on a stock trading at $646/share. That isn’t very impressive for a company that gets the market buzz that they do.
