These were actually fun cars to drive with a 4-speed. Yes they were anemic, but there wasn’t much weight to move around. This one is the wrong body style, has a half vinyl top and an awful paint scheme. The interior is worse than the outside. This might get $10K if someone dropped thin brown accent stripes inside the…
Earlier Javelins (1969) had the roof spoiler. 70's ones had the trunk spoiler. I’ve never seen them with both. This looks like someone has been swapping parts or grafting bits.
That was part of the roof package for holding surfboards. The owner slid the board tip in then anchored on the front. The front mount is missing.
This cannot be unseen.
The ad says, “Service records from dealerships I have complete service history for car.” It doesn’t say the records were kept by the current owner. They may have been with the car when purchased.
The E28 might have been a better place for them to start. The Mach-E won’t win over everybody, but it is a credible car and a reasonable entry in the market segment. GM could have done something to make the Bolt design more palatable. It looks like it is meant to be an electric competitor for the Ecosport.
Are the green cones marking the distances of the prior competitors for the driver’s side headlight toss? If so, the Leaf may be in good position for the gold.
A lot of them look like they have been driven hard and not maintained because they are old enough that the ones in less than perfect condition are within the price range of someone who is going to treat it the like an appliance. There are still a substantial number of these Mustangs in very good condition.
The next year will be extremely interesting as Tesla will finally have the challenge to prove it is a viable electric car company that can stand with real competition. Porsche and Ford will be offering challenges at two different market points. Meanwhile the Model S just keeps getting more stale... The Model 3 is no…
I thought about what we spend. It’s about 25% when we buy a new car. We pay the loan in four and hold the vehicle for about 10-12 years. So annually, it’s about 2.5% per vehicle per year it is owned as wages increase over the time of ownership.
I have a co-worker with an Ecosport. He and his wife always bought Ford. She has an explorer. He admits he didn’t test drive the Ecosport as well as he needed. He hates the vehicle. It has soured him completely on Ford. Ford killed the Focus and kept that in the line-up. It makes no sense.
These are tough and basic trucks to ride in, but they are durable and reliable for the time. Their power was also super for the time. The low-end grunt is perfect for what these were targeted to do. This one seems in good shape. I wouldn’t want it unless I needed a fifth wheel, but the fifth wheel adds value for the…
Genesis held firm at the number 5 spot.
This is kind of an interesting little turd classic muscle car. Someone spent money to paint this and then butchered the body by removing the bumpers. The wrapped steering wheel and “Got Gremlin?” above the glove compartment perfectly round out this machine. Too bad Halloween has past.
Near where I live, old malls are becoming Amazon fulfillment centers (which will eventually become Amazon retail stores then Amazon malls when we all realize how inefficient home delivery is and when Amazon starts to charge to recoup their costs of home delivery by charging for the service).
Around where I live, all the landscapers leave it in the road because they can’t back a trailer. It is a real traffic risk. (but the Forester driver was still an idiot for driving with a fogged windshield).
Most people will never touch the performance from the extra ponies in this. Why pay $13.5K for this with engine mods, repairs needed, 101K on the odometer? There are plenty of cleaner ‘99's out there with half the mileage and no obvious repair issues looming. Buy one of those for a cruiser.
This is a throwback from the time when the national speed limit was 55. With a 55 speed, it could barely handle merging. This is an old appliance. It’s not quirky or unique or interesting. It is probably quite dependable for a once a month trip to Branson when the Social Security is deposited. I wouldn’t want it to dd…
