You’re talking about the reliability difference between a revolver and a semi-auto. There’s probably not nearly the advantage to a revolver that you think there is. Revolvers DO break and they’re not that much reliable (if any) than a quality semi-auto (Glock, SIg, HK, etc.).
The only gun I’ve ever had physically break was a revolver. Beyond that, I prefer 9mm for capacity, cost, and ballistics over 38. Due to arthritis in my hands, 357 is too painful to practice with enough to be proficient.
You’re assuming that US Soldiers would follow orders to slaughter their own citizens, families, and friends. Remember their oath is to defend the Constitution against foreign AND domestic enemies. Were there some kind of mass uprising, the odds are pretty good that the military would be somewhat gutted from soldiers…
I carry a Glock specifically because it’s the simplest semi-auto handgun out there. There are other guns as statistically reliable as a Glock but they have more things that CAN go wrong with them, just as your biometrically “enhanced” revolver. There’s nothing that I can’t replace on my gun with a minimum of spare…
