The one time I watched that version, it was with a couple of friends and directly after watching the original while we were painting someone’s apartment.

Has anyone ever watched the chronological version? Obviously it’s not as good as the original - the way the story is told is one of the main draws of the story - but it adds a really interesting tone. It begins with Leonard and Teddy’s discussion about what’s really been going on which leads to Leonard making his

I had to look at this WAY too long before I realized this wasn’t a photo of an elephant with an ankle monitor...

To quote a famous philosopher who’s name escapes me, I think he was some kind of talking head;

That’s life

This comment would have been ace had it not mistaken Amazon for Netflix.

I think that’s oversimplifying Foote’s contribution. I thought (as a Northerner) it was interesting in how he described the (white) Southern culture in which he was raised, one in which even the Fourth of July wasn’t celebrated as it was seen as a reminder that their traitorous rebellion lost to the US. It’s a messed

Just go ahead and skip Civil War. Waaaay too much Shelby Foote and Lost Causism. Thoroughly tainted with a pro-Good Old Boy POV.

I knew someone that bought their college age kid a new Hyundai, he proceeded to drive it through college and a year or two afterwards, and then the engine blew up on it. I don’t remember the mileage, but it wasn’t super high, but enough that I think it was out of warranty. So his mom calls the dealership to yell at

Exactly. Here at work with no sound. Can someone give the written version?

Same. Let’s get a written copy, please.

In college, I went to my friend’s house to help him replace the timing belt on his beloved 1985 Civic. It’s a pretty straightforward but lengthy job. We collected the new belt and a few small new parts and placed them on the garage floor next to the car.

Seriously, how many of us are reading this at work and can’t take 5-10 minutes to watch a video? I almost exclusively read this site while I am at work.

I won’t spoil the story for you

This is a thoughtful reaction. Same sex relationships can be bland and romanticly kid-friendly.

I can agree a tiny bit with that. But also, it doesn’t have to be sexual. Media for children often depicts straight couples kissing, holding hands, going on dates, etc. I think it would be easy to just have gay characters doing exactly those obviously acceptable things as well.

everybody’s top is diferent, some people are bottoms

I too, hate media companies attempting to do the due diligence of verifying information before posting a story that might impact people’s lives.

This is a shining-bright example of how the fucking scum of the Internet hides behind their keyboards spamming “KYS BITCH, NOBODY LOVES YOU, YOU’RE FUCKING WORTHLESS!!” until they actually do it.

WORDS. MATTER.

Please god yes.
