This might be the most well-written comment on jalopnik this week. No snark, no attempt to offend someone, just good commentary. Hell if I could have ever written it without tossing in a sarcastic comment or two. And I’m NOT being sarcastic now. Came here to laugh at those willing to spend so much over MSRP, but I’m wa

Thanks for doing the research nobody else bothered to do.

But what’s the societal harm? What’s the externality that should discourage this? It’s a new vehicle which is similiar to many other vehicles. Nobody is being harmed, and if someone wants it right now they can pay a premium. This is a handful of thousands. If it’s a special edition this has been happening for years

It’s not just EVs though. Any one who can sign an 8-year loan can walk away with a 700hp sedan. You can buy a Golf with 300hp...which seems strange for some who remember the MK1 GTI.

This level of speed was only available to a few exotic owners just a decade ago, and now we have family cars that feature “ludicrous” speed. Which is aptly named, because that is indeed ludicrous speed.

... and I needed a new heel for my shoe, so I decided to go to Morganville which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So, I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel. And in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em.

In 40 years that Camaro will be illegal.

You know my great-grandfather used to tell me an anecdote about America: We used to build things. We made stuff. We knew how to make money by actually creating things that people wanted — and selling those things.

40 years from now his kid is gonna clean up the garage after the dad passed and find a 0 mile Camaro and sell it on BaT for 85k.

It is what it is. I personally will not lose any sleep over people getting fleeced by paying a 60% premium to have the first new-used Bronco in town. To be able to do such a thing suggests a certain amount of financial comfort; these are not people who won’t be able to sleep under a solid roof or put food on the

I ordered a 2010 Camaro SS in 2008, was 6th in line at my local dealer. Received one of the first cars off the line June of 2009 (and I paid sticker, no more no less). The guy ahead of me bought 2, 1 to drive and 1 to go right into his garage to store because “they are never gonna make them like this again” and “this

No idea but as a current Michigander that immigrated from New York I can assure you that as bad as you think roads in NY are they are glass compared to Michigan roads.

There was a post about this in the Ranger forums this week. For shits and gigs, one member put his 2019 Ranger XLT into Carvana to see what they’d pay in cash and was stunned to find the answer. I did the same and they’re offering me $5k over what I paid for it a year ago. Some are flipping their current models for

It doesn’t want to be cool?  Since it’s inherently balanced, I think the I6 wouldn’t care what you think about it.

4 cylinder - can be cool or shit

Downsize turbo is great for high elevations but they don't deliver on their economy promises in my opinion, especially around town.

Search “Hummer” Replace all “Bronco”

how much with Egypt pay to not have them just sink it in the canal again and walk away?

Huh?!?

I’ve always wondered who buys all those tires that I’ve preventively replaced over the years. (Always figured that getting quite down to the wear bars on a tire is rolling the dice. Tires have a hard life, hitting potholes at freeway speeds and all that, and generous tread means much better foul-weather performance.) I
