Back in early 2017, my dad traded in his 2004 Acura TL with 245k miles for $7 or 8k. I forget the exact number. The dealer listed it for $11k! I don’t know what it went for, but they sold it within a few weeks and he saw it on his commute several times.

Looks like they’re testing it with slider bars? That’d be cool if they offered it as an option.

Interior looks great from that angle, except the screen in front of the steering wheel that’s missing a glare visor/shield of some sort.

How much of the remaining core staff are really car people at all?

The weekend motorsports cover person is no longer with Jalopnik.

I can’t tell if Yang understands tech but is using fear mongering tactics, or if he doesn’t understand tech and is in fear himself.

There needs to be something in between the Infiniti system shown int he video and what my Rav4 has. It’s mostly capable of self driving on the highway, but it needs CONSTANT driver feedback or it just shuts off. I can have my hand on the steering wheel staring straight out the windshield and it’ll freak out and turn

I mean, we used to give my one co-worker crap all the time about his old Nissan Sentra with peeling paint, no A/C, and heat that was only full on or off, but that was friends making jokes with one another. We didn’t actually care.

4th Gear: I’d be willing to bet that the automakers who decided to side with Trump did so because they thought fluffing his ego and giving him a “win” now may help future negotiations with him.

I’m fine with very well behaved and trained pet dogs being places. It’s when they’re barking, growling at people, peeing on the floor, etc, that it’s a problem.

Alright, I’m just gonna say it. Turkeys legitimately fly. They don’t just get some extra help from their wings to jump in to branches. I’ve watched a dozen turkeys fly out of a tree, across a field, and over the next tree line on multiple occasions.

So... by cleaning it and also doing an undisclosed amount of mechanical work? Or the person who purchased will need to do that work?

I agree partially with this. We are okay with things like trains where we have no control, because they travel a fixed, scheduled path. A car doesn’t have to do that, and can re-route you through areas you may not want to go or make any number of odd decisions. I’ve seen the GPS freeze up in several cars. Why would

Neutral: We’ve had two hybrids, an Avalon and now a Rav4.

Hello Jason,

The quick turn around and big price drop probably means that this car has some problems that need to be addressed, but at that price, and with the condition of the interior and exterior (it looks pretty clean), it’s a nice price.

If this were 20 years ago I’d have said no to getting rid of the live axle, but since all the cars they pretend these are have moved to IRS it’s absolutely time for them to do the same.

Interesting, because if you put this in to the same discussion of Toyota and Tesla, you have 3 different systems. The Bonneville had a mechanical throttle to a gas motor, the Toyotas had “throttle by wire” to a gas motor, and the Teslas have throttle by wire to an electric motor.

All the more reason to get away from coal and petroleum powered power generation.

I don’t understand the hate for hte mouse type one.  I have it in my GS350 and it works great.  Since it has soft stops when navigating menus it’s super easy to use.
