Typical model life is 8-12 years on a vehicle. 8 is usually only if there are major issues with cost, safety, or sales. Expect it to be at least 4-5 more years before an all new Model S comes around. They did a minor refresh last year that they will probably try to ride out until then.

I think I’ve pointed out the math before in the comments of another article, but this vehicle has followed a completely normal (about 5 years) development cycle length for a car on an all new platform with a new powertrain if it’s coming out in 2019. I find that going from crapcan to nice car is easy. It’s going from nice car to crapcan that makes you notice the differences. That goes for performance, too. Going from a car with lots of body roll to a car with very little or none is easy. Going back is what’s weird.

I have read the reviews and seen the videos regarding the LC500.

I replayed that part frame by frame a while ago. The cab and bed don’t line up again at the end. I’m pretty sure they damaged the frame on that truck. And the bumper where it smacked the ground. And probably the wheel where it was rammed into the asphalt when the tire sidewall completely folded.

The base LC500 is going to have 471hp. The base Corvette is at 455 and the GT3 the OP referenced has 500. The LC500 is Toyota’s competitor in the Corvette and 911s+ territory.

Is that the power in the bar along the top next to the engine codes? The power range for cars was basically 160-500hp. That is kind of crazy.
