That’s fair, those were things the show did well.

AKs and their variations had large trigger guards, uncomfortably so in many cases, specifically so you could wear gloves. You can also swap out the guard easily and put on a larger one, in most cases, without tools. Pretty much every modern army that expects to have to operate in cold weather has cold weather…
You can say that again. (No, really please do)

Yeah, if you gave up on it after the kind of aimless intro of season 1, I’d definitely recommend finishing it off, season 2 is tremendous.
I mean, the single purpose of this is to make sure out first look isn’t a telephoto shot from Pattinson’s coffee break, so it doesn’t have to be all the informative.
A Batman so dark that it can only be “seen” through echolocation? Now that’s meta!
It’s not referenced much, but you’re right, both guns and jewelry are pivotal to Batman’s origin. You see, a mugger tried to steal Bruce’s mother’s gun, and when she wouldn’t give it up quickly enough, he strangled her and then Mr Wayne with a string of pearls.
It wasn’t just the music and red overtones that made it feel like Daredevil... it was the fact that you couldn’t see anything. The Netflix Marvel Corner sure did enjoy when it could turn off as many lights as possible.
Did something happen to the Waynes that involved a gun? I feel like this hasn’t really been addressed in any of the comics, movies, cartoons, or TV shows.
The ending with Diane sort of reminded me of the final shot of the Graduate in that you’re not quite sure what you’re supposed to make of it. It could be that they’re done or it could be that they’re slowly realizing that they’re too much a part of each’s others lives for Diane to freeze him out.
In a way, the Cell saga WAS supposed to be an ending of sorts for the franchise. Toriyama originally envisioned keeping Goku dead after the Cell saga and shifting the focus over to Gohan as the main protagonist. Unfortunately, Toriyama was forced to pull a Sir Doyle move and resurrect his main character after a…
As someone who blocks their ears and says NA NA NA when I hear the word ‘Sayaman’, I appreciate this take. My headcanon always ended at the end of the Cell Saga.
It occurs to me that it would be really funny if the DBZA Buu saga was essentially one episode.
The Buu saga was Toriyama getting beaten with bags of money to keep the series going. Cell was the end of DBZ as the series was set to change names and focus on Gohan in a new series. however the fans wanted “more goku” so we got that mess.
The ending of the Cell Saga was well done, and if you consider even the original DBZ...it felt like a natural ending.
The Buu Saga introduced some good concepts (fusion, expanding the DBZ universe with greater Kais) but man did it have some lows including the worst major villain of its four sagas. I just don’t think they could have carried it for as long as it runs especially with a less interesting villain to play around with.
The…
I can respect bowing out on this. Honestly they did amazing work for the three arcs they did and I often wondered if they would ever finish it given that few people have an emotional attachment to the Buu arc in the first place (myself included). I think opinions would be stronger if they stopped completley having not…
If you look in the background, you can see that Gina got that Fireflame movie.
Yeah, I like to think that Todd will give him another chance, but this time it'll be on Todd's terms. Hooray!
