I don’t really see how this is contradictory or out-of-character. Rick said what you think doesn’t matter as far as their importance or uniqueness. But within this universe, he still cares about the sanctity of small things. Things like the layout of his garage, or here he goes to the bathroom and who’s allowed there

I kept hoping Elliot would announce that he didn’t really spike Olivia’s drink. But I also kind of like the turn it signifies.

Marvel movies, as he sees it, don’t meet that level of art because there’s no risk to them. There’s no “revelation, mystery, or genuine emotional danger” because they’re all meticulously designed to meet “a specific set of demands.”

Vague spoiler for The Shield (very vague...). However, that sort of reminds me of how Vic Mackey’s end was in a way a happy ending, but in another way...very much the inverse.

So I can see the ending being some variation where BoJack is left in a place that is true rock bottom, looking up, and anywhere from being

She’s a goddamn kid and her cockiness evaporates immediately once it gets closer to the deed itself. The very fact that BoJack even entertained the notion is fucked up. Nothing absolves him and he himself was clear that if the circumstances would allow it, he would probably do this fucked up thing.

but let’s be fair here in regard to Penny — she wanted to sleep with him, and although he was tempted, given her resemblance to her mother, he was was the one who argued her out of it.

But it’s my belief that the simplified life of a college professor isn’t one he can deserve now given what he’s done. That implies that all the wrecked lives in his wake were all in the service of his own personal development which just seems like the... worst lesson imaginable, especially in these intersectional

It raises the question though (and I’m not disagreeing with what you’ve put above, by and by, just expanding on it) of whether Bojack “dealing with” his past is worth dredging it up for other people.

The one thing I hope for (but don’t hold out much hope for) is that the reporters leave Penny alone!

Hope you enjoyed it. I went in blind about any specifics (I have known it existed for a long while, but avoided any details I could) and loved it. If felt cathartic and I think Aaron Paul proved again that he’s a legitimately great actor. It makes me sad that this will be the final season of Bojack Horseman as well,

Will you enjoy it? Yeah, I think so. However should you watch it without watching Breaking Bad first? I would suggest not. Breaking Bad is just fantastic. El Camino will spoil a lot of details of the show. Plus, watching Breaking Bad will add tremendous gravity to the plights of everybody in El Camino.

But I loved

It’s going to be Trump vs. Warren ... ... and Trump is going to obliterate her.

He wasn’t wrong, but he also wasn’t appreciating the pressure we were under to give ardent fans a film that felt quintessentially Star Wars.

I at least give him credit for standing up to Trump and allegedly keeping him from acting on some of his crazier ideas.

Beyond that, the Theranos fraud thing is a sticky situation, and a good point about his involvement and its implications.

Possibly the truest statement I’ve read in the comments.

Is this the kind of criticism that will move voters’ decisions? Unclear how many Democratic primary (or general) election voters are reading former Trump administration memoirs.

What are the odds they work this out?

On one hand, Spider-Man can practically print its own money. And yet, on its own Sony showed itself less-than-stellar in handling the property (at least without Sam Raimi), and it greatly benefitted from Spider-Man’s inclusion in the MCU and the Avengers. Plus, as mentioned, Venom

In the year of The Matrix, Being John Malkovich, and Magnolia, among others, the Oscar goes to a movie about how a cartoonishly put-upon suburban dad gets a new lease on life when he realizes he wants to fuck his teenage daughter’s best friend?

Are we including bands like The Descendents, Bad Religion, and Jawbreaker in the Pop Punk category? Because if we are, there are some really fine bands in that genre.

why should he or any other sorry ass excuse for an ”American” football player who kneels during the National Anthem be able to play
