I’m probably being a bit harsh...

I don’t think Kid A deserves to be put in that category.

Probably because it gets boring to do the same thing ad infinitum. You have a point, however...

I actually really enjoy a great deal of U2's Pop (seriously, underneath the singles there are some beautiful songs on there, Velvet Dress, Wake Up Dead Man, and Please stand out, I also like Miami) and loved that tour. I

The Americans probably had the best final season I’ve ever seen. And yes, I’m including Breaking Bad in there. Jerk that show off all you want (and I sure did for a long time), it never had the nuance The Americans had in my eyes.

I happened to love all six seasons, even the fifth one (I enjoy slow-burn series and do not recall it being disappointing or overly slow at all, so sue me). But The Americans really, REALLY nailed it that sixth season. That is just a great, great show all the way through that stuck the landing in a way that really

I hear you on Mad Men. Breaking Bad, Justified, and The Shield also warrant mention in my opinion.

I don’t entirely disagree with you. However, where I do disagree with you is that Syd made that mistake (and it seems implied she realizes it was a mistake) as a child. Additionally, she seems to have a self-loathing thing going on, so it’s not like she is unrepentant (at least insofar as I can tell).

David, on the

Perhaps. I still think it’s very poor form to lie to a new director/showrunner and give them such a clearly false view of what they’re getting into. Also, giving her free reign to create things in her own vision knowing (which they either did or should have) that the two directors’ styles and tones were going to be

I think it’s a bit worse than that. From the IndieWire article

Now playing

I would be curious too. I found the below video where he discusses some R. Kelly goons threatening him shortly after the skit, and he makes some allusion to not knowing R Kelly but wanting to keep him accountable without ruining his career.

I have a couple thoughts.

First, I think there are legal ramifications related

I have zero clue if you have ever read comics, watched TV, movies or read fiction...

Just my opinion, but all of those points have some holes in them. That’s not a slight, but there are reasons I am not convinced. In case you or anybody cares...

It’s almost as if Farouk taught her to be a good enough liar that she could stab a psychic in the back...

I knew future Syd was shady the whole time.

Hey Lindsay, good couple of posts. My thoughts, take them for what they’re worth...

FFS, the only person that has “proof” ( and it’s hearsay) is the 2000 year old super villain the Shadow King, so please explain how they can justify minority reporting David for that??

Has everyone forgotten that Syd also has her share of screwed up past?

Whether or not we’re ever going to talk about her choices with her mom’s boyfriend again, the show is currently focusing all of the “he uses his powers for evil” attention on David and most of the characters have made questionable choices. [snip] I am having trouble with how Syd is maintaining the moral high ground

David is damaged and isn’t behaving like a good guy, but when Syd is getting advice on how to handle things from the Shadow King, well I can’t get behind her right now either. When each lead looks like a hypocrite for pointing fingers at the other, it starts to get uncomfortable.

Big surprise, most people prefer not having to read when they watch a movie. [snip] Nothing to do with open-mindedness and it’s so pretentious to say it is.
