Short version...yeah, you’re right.

Slightly longer version where I nitpick a bit...

Yeah and what happened right after the walk of shame? The Mountain and Qyburn were waiting for her and picked her right up.

She’s literally the product of 3 generations of incest from a family known specifically for going crazy and killing people with fire. This was not limited to the end of the war you refer to. If you did not see this coming, you werent paying attention.

All week I’ve been perplexed by so many people complaining that the show all of a sudden started hinting that Daenerys was a mad queen. They’ve literally been building this up for the entire show!

This episode (and this season) is where it seems the story suffers from being rushed in a way the books have not and, whenever we get them, probably will not. That’s why some of these stories seem implausible to me.

On paper, sure, I can see why Dany sort of snaps. She has been hunted all her life, was sold to the

Cersei was never that smart to begin with. She’s cruel, but not clever. Never clever.

Has George R.R. Martin said anything about how much his books will deviate from the show?  I am hoping to get some depth from characters and plotlines the show chose to drop that will make for a more satisfying experience.

I’m not hating on the show as such, and still like it. However, I think I like it from an

Guess which of these were real, and which were just paraphrased.

I think the problem I have with the “it wasn’t earned” claim is the implicit assertion that because it wasn’t earned (which is true), it shouldn’t have been there (which is not).

In that case, I think you’ll love it. I think it does a great job of furthering the story and developing the characters in very meaningful ways.

Follow up on Steins;Gate Zero...

I’ll keep this as spoiler-free as possible. Short version, I like it even though it kind of undermines the ending of the original series a bit.

Longer, semi/vaguely-spoilerish take...

Thanks for the interaction! Honestly, I already recognize that most of my argument is already on the back foot. A big part of the “anything is possible”argument is that the end result being a complete mess is also certainly possible.

Yeah, good point. I think it could have been built up to better within the movie and the fight scene specifically. It felt weird for there to be a women’s section in a fight as well. My problem is mainly with the build-up, and the fact it seemed so obvious they were having a “Girl Power Moment.” That felt too on the

Good point. I just meant it can be done, but I get your point that having the Night King, Dany, and Jon have a nice fireside chat about what he really, REALLY wanted after all this likely would have not worked. I mean, I think it could have worked to at least have him say something (Coldhands could talk so it seems

Breaking their own time travel rules for Cap at the end.

I actually came to hate it when writers bent over backwards to gives cartoon villains “motives”

I think there’s truth to that. I have kind of a love/like relationship with James Cameron. He’s clearly very talented, and I have loved certain films in his filmography (Terminator & Terminator 2, Aliens, Strange Days, The Abyss, and some of the writing aside I actually enjoyed Titanic especially visually) and found

I’m also a dude with an opinion. I quite liked Captain Marvel. I think Brie Larson was charming and talented, and Samuel L. Jackson is...well, Samuel L. Jackson! So I appreciated the chemistry and liked the story, as well as the humor and the Skrull angle (which was better than I was expecting). So I really liked it

I think you’re right, because of how ominous an icon the Iron Throne has been throughout this entire story.

Damn! That completely trumps my story. Hats off!

My wife didn’t realize what was different about me at first (I just have a goatee, and it was much shorter back then, so she just noticed something weird at first) but didn’t like it. She sure as hell didn’t call the cops on me, though!
