Your last line is incorrect Mr Author. The VAST majority of the army were rescued by royal navy Destroyers off the harbour walls as opposed to those taken off the beaches by smaller civilian craft.

Hi can I take this opportunity to remind people to watch the Nuclear mocumentary “Threads”. It’s from the 1980's it’s made by the BBC and it is required viewing for anybody who thinks the human race will survive a nuclear conflict.
