It is a properly working Yugo.
It is a properly working Yugo.
Yeah, but look on the bright side! You are the only person you know driving a car with the phrase “Made in Yugoslavia” on it! C’mon, that’s cool, right? And they don’t make cars in Yugoslavia anymore! Also, there is no Yugoslavia anymore! So, you know, there’s that....
$1000 in the center console.
I think it would be a fascinating Jalopnik piece if you tried to restore it to whatever resembles a properly working Yugo. I estimate that will cost approximately 17 dollars.
The Yugo. A thing of pure amazement.
I like that 90% of your problems can be solved by slamming bits of your car with a chunk of wood.
Sweet GTI
It’s the first I’ve ever encountered to actually have a significant amount of positive camber on the front tires

YES THIS!! I hate driving in Alb. Wife and i own three cars. in the last year i’ve had two insurance claims, neither my fault. one I got rear ended on Gibson and totaled my car. Wifes brand new car (owned for a week) was hit in a parking lot. Two in the last year.

I once went to take off when the light turned green and went nowhere because I forgot I took the car out of gear. It was lucky for me since about 3 seconds after the light turned green a semi going about 50 blasted through the red light . Would have pulverized me. I sat there for about five minutes until my heart…
Redlining 5th or 6th would be well over 150 for both of my cars.....
Holy shit. I don’t think I could realistically do this in 5th or 6th in a real world situation. 4th would be extremely difficult off of a track.
“Floor your car to about 10 miles over the speed limit then coast to 10 under and repeat until you reach your destination for the best fuel economy.”
My dad used to tell me that allowing the fuel level to get below a quarter tank (half tank in the winter) would damage the engine. I asked him about it recently when I was riding with him and saw his fuel light come on, and he admitted that he only said that to keep me diligent about fuel levels so I wouldn’t be…
One of the advantages of driving stick. I also try to avoid braking as much as possible in traffic.
