That's why it was great. While Sega didn't necessarily fail with the Game Gear, they knew they couldn't touch the Game Boy. I feel like the Nomad was solely for their most dedicated fans. Dedicated medium or not, it was a handheld and it rocked.

No one could compete with the original Game Boy, but Sega came close with the Game Gear. I wanted one so bad. Years later, I received a Sega Nomad for Christmas instead.

I know, right? There's such a difference the Koup is from the actual Forte. I would have never bought the Forte and then I saw the Koup. Despite it's spelling, it won me over when I drove it. Confident handling, good deal of power, decent mpgs for it's engine size, and price sold me. I love my 2010 Forte Koup.
