Virginia requires saftey inspection every year and smog every two years. It’s absolutely crazy considering how much of the state is deep red republican anti-government types.

LMAO, my first car was a first generation Dodge Intrepid and I’ll tell you what happened to mine, the gasket blew in spectacular fashion with the car filling up with white smoke in seconds. It would have cost more to fix than the car was worth.

I’ve driven in almost every state in the country now, and by far the worst offenders are in Missouri. California isn’t good about it either, but at least in California there are normally more than 2 lanes on each side of the interstate. In Missouri it’s mostly 2 lanes per side and you’ll constantly find lines of cars…
