F&TM got me through some hard times last year. Some of the songs seemed like they were written about my struggles; it was almost bizarre how close they were. I watched this last night and honestly I'm not sure I can watch it again, because some of the imagery really hit close to home. That said, it was good.

I got my wake up call last year when I reconnected with an old friend - I'd had nobody to talk to about it for several years prior. Hearing the things I was saying out loud was like a cold shower. Long story short, we've worked things out so far and been to counseling, but I did end up leaving for a while.

Actually a friend of mine works at Digipen; she's HR so not on the technical side of stuff, but she has said good things about them.

I honestly wish you had acquired these on a certain watery cove frequented by swashbucklers, instead of giving the author more money. They are a plague on humanity. Anyone who defends them as 'at least they've got people reading' will be summarily slapped in the face with a wet, two-days-worn dirty sock.

A lot of people said something similar about JS replacing Craig Kilborn waaaay back in the day. I am incredibly sad, but also hopeful that they'll hit another home run. I've watched some clips from before he joined it, and it was honestly pretty lame compared to what it is now.

I hate that. Ever since I gained weight, I find myself dropping food on my chest that normally would have ended up on the plate. Very annoying, and now I keep having to wash my sweatshirts more often (they're layer #3 and go for a couple days, it's not nearly as bad as it sounds... UNTIL I EAT AND MESS IT UP.)

Every so often a good one comes through. I went back to school a couple of years ago and several of the 19 YOs in my classes are still in contact; I was almost old enough to be their mom but my mutual love of video games and such saved me from that awkwardness.
