Commenting system is harder to use and harder to scan quickly for good posts/questions/replies. That means a lot fewer people are using comments, which creates a feedback loop of it not being worthwhile for those who aren't scared off to make posts (because we know there will be fewer good responses). It's a major

A navy (actually midnight) blue tux is perfectly classic. Bellbottoms, though, not so much.

Also good for a drying rack for, say, swimsuits or wetsuits.

That's true, but if he's upgrading his phone every year, that's nearly $1k he's spending on devices every year (assuming he doesn't lose or break one). Compare that to the normal person who would pay $400 every two years to upgrade the same devices. If he has the money to be dropping that kind of dough, is it really

I'm with several other people that think the math is off here. Assuming it costs $500 for each of 2 iPhones at AT&T, that's $1000 to stay. And assuming it costs $200 for each of 2 iPhones at Verizon, plus $320 early termination, that's $720. Difference is $280, not $180.

Is there any way I can boost cell reception (Verizon) at my house? I have a couple dead spots, and would like to improve it. I'd be willing to shell out for a device of some sort if it would make a difference.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Miss Lewinsky."

Dammit. Another revision to the comment system? Maybe I'll just stop reading and commenting until someone let's me know they've stopped messing with the code. Then I'll see if it's worth my time to figure out the new system.

Just upgraded my Galaxy Tab 7+ to ICS. It broke the root. Can I use the same root method that I used to root it when it was Honeycomb? If not, anyone know how to root?

I disagree. First week I had my iPhone, I slipped it in my pocket with my keys. Scratch. Since then, I've made sure to keep them separate and I haven't had any issue.

Somewhat the reverse of the Allen wrench-socket idea that has come in handy for me when a straight screwdriver can't get to a location:

Google Voice works well. I wouldn't say it's fragile. But for it to work, you either have to give everyone your Google Voice number, or you have to port your current number to Google Voice and then get a new number for your cell. That's a bit of a pain unless you have Sprint. There are a lot of article on LH about

I go the opposite, and make sure that my iPhone signature is the same as my desktop's so that people can't tell when I'm in my office or not. But in my job, no one's going to go easy on me because I'm not in the office; they'll just get annoyed that I'm not where I should be.

That's just for comments, though, right?

I've noticed some funky sidebar action too. Right now it's totally missing from my screen. Sometimes I only see one article (or a half an article). They keep tweaking the interface, but I can't see much improvement.

Honestly, hire someone. I'm selling my house, and my real estate agent recommend a guy who's good and cheap. It took him a LOT less time than it would have taken me; he did a MUCH better job; and it cost a LOT less than that amount of time is worth to me. I'm happy doing touch-up work, but I don't think I'll ever

I think what it does is put the new icon in the first available space that is NOT on your first page. I'm guessing that's so that you can have more control over your "home" page and keep it clutter free if you want. So if you have 3 pages, with a blank on the first and second page, it will put the new app on the

Has anyone noticed that now, when you click on a Lifehacker article, it hides all the newer stories and you have to click "Newer Stories..." in order to show them? SUPER annoying. I always come back to the last story I read and make my way through as far as I can toward the most recent. Now it requires many more
