groundbreaking genre smash? we must’ve been watching a different cut of the movie then. also it totally degenerated into some weird CG on CG schlock in the last quarter and totally fell apart on me. that PS3 looking train track fight ? what a mess.

I didn’t think it was that great, but it was better than Bohemian Rhapsody.

It’s only “unique” in that it stars a black guy and actually made a lot of money.

Infinity War was mediocre as hell. Only parts that weren’t boring were the Thor comedy stuff.

Black Panther wasn’t even in the top three best superhero films this year.

(Into The Spider-Verse, Infinity War, Deadpool 2. Don’t @ me.)

Are you trying to make this a race thing? Jesus dude. The Dark Knight was groundbreaking. Black Panther was good, it wasn’t great. Beale Street was GREAT and got snubbed.

So it turns out the brief blip where the Oscar nominations were actually exciting and interesting was a passing phase rather than a new trend, I suppose.

Black Panther 100% deserves every one of those technical nominations, but Best Picture? Get the fuck out of here.

Feels like such a lackluster list after last year. I mean, Green Book, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Black Panther? I don’t see how any of them are contenders for best picture in a sane world. It’s not like it was a bad year, they could have thrown a bone to Eighth Grade, or I hear First Reformed is good, but instead they’re

I don’t think he’s saying you should make video games sound more like films, he just used a film because it’s got far better dialogue than your typical video game.

Having seen the entire talk - his point is that most video game writing is completely bereft of subtext, meanders pointlessly, and provides no benefit. Then he shows you how to get the immersiveness while also providing subtext, constant forward movement, and usefulness.

What’s even dumber is that the SWTOR login is the same as an Origin login, but they use(d?) different authenticators...

I actually think creativity is the LEAST strong argument for human testers. As AI will be able to try literally every possible game input far faster than human testers can.

Lol at people thinking this was anything other than planned. This is just the way these people get free advertising for their games.

There is an entire section of this article that addresses why that is not a clean solution.

I dont think anyone would have taken the % this is not US, games from EU usually fails before Witcher 1 was released.

Thanks for changing it. I had this discussion with someone else the other day. Even literally accurate headlines can be misleading as a result of tone or just what people are used to reading.

Considering Sapkowski’s disdain for the games, and previous comments, the headline seems a little misleading. He got paid upfront, and even demanded a lump sum instead of being cut in on the backend.

This isn’t someone being screwed over, this is someone being shortsighted and pigheaded.

I don’t think you understand cats.
