Japanese sports cars died in 2007. Everything after that has been a lame excuse as a true sports car with the exception of the GTR. The new STI and Evo X were sad excuses of their former selves. Once the companies got out of racing and more into building economical, safe, ‘fun’ cars thats when they died.

No im not surprised. Almost all sennheiser headphones are mainly plastic except for the really high end ones. I bought my HD598 like 3 years ago which are all plastic, basically the same headphones as these minus the mic. And they have held up fine after being rough with them for 3 years.
