Am I the only one side-eyeing the suggestion that a 16 year old boy gets a car with 300 horsepower?

you live a mile from school. walk when it is nice, have a friend pick you up when it isn’t. or buy a true beater for those days. a nice old honda accord with snow tires should do the trick. pocket the rest and go to europe the summer after you graduate (which if you’re getting 20 large from the folks to spend here

Keep the Saab 9-3, add snow tires and do a refresh/upgrade of it.  Cool, quirky car, gets around in the snow alright, and you’ll be able to learn to do some of the work yourself.

SAAB AB and Saab Automobile AB are two completely different companies that split from one another over 30 years ago.

...

This is what police officers readily do, putting their lives on the line to save others. Pity that a tiny fraction of bad cops on a power trip ruin it for the rest

I’ve been tempted by the 9-5 NG Aero so many times. I already have the Turbo 4 2011 9-5 fully loaded and it has been great. But the AWD Haldex system requires extensive babysitting and constant care.

They don’t get any ad revenue from me as it is lol

Good thing many of the infrastructure components in use in the US come from China, and the Chinese would never do something like this, right?

Meh. If this was a Saab 9-7x it would be cooler and have a nicer interior.

I know that felt like a blow to a lot of readers.

Whoever said the 928 should be sent off to Russia.

I was thinking about this one myself. I had two first gens, and I got to sit in one of these at the dealership when they first came out. It was night and day. It had so much potential if Saab had stuck around.

Lolwut! I mean, no power driver’s seat?! In a car marketed as a luxury sedan? What’s the underlying vehicle this thing is based on anyway? Some sorta Euro Fiat platform swap?

Infinity FX35. First Gen, kind of a nice looking Hyundai you got there, I guess:

Over a decade ago, LeBron James announced that he was taking his talents to South Beach.

It actually looks pretty good in later editions. My mental image of the car is like the one in the photo here, but just changing the vertical grille to horizontal made a huge difference in newer models.

I heard it described once (I think it was Ezra Dyer when he wrote for R&T) as a “cyborg land whale” and I think about this every time I see one.

It’s so hard to break a decade long habit. Though we all knew this was coming. See y’all on the flip side.
