I'm also a fan of the MKT. There are dozens of us!!
Charles Pulliam Moore really is...
Well said!!
She’ll go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene!
Right?! It looks like an entry level sedan, or at least it does from the pic in the article. I was thinking base trim CLA myself.
If I remember correctly, they built about 11,000 9-5NG’s (including mine, waited years until I could get my hands on one), about 430 9-4X’s (one owned by a family member!), and only like 27 (!!) of these spectacular station wagon versions of the 9-5NG.
I’m sorry but what? I might be biased since I own one, but I’ve never heard anyone describing a 2011 9-5NG as having aged poorly.
Those towers in the picture are the Kuwait Towers in Kuwait City. Not to be rude or anything, but I’m wondering why you couldn’t put that information in the caption? (You know, other than “nope, not happening.”)
Yes! To this day I had no idea they had a name. Now of course they show up on google images. I guess you learn something every day... They don't exactly add to the appearance of the car though, in my opinion. Also never seen them in Europe.
Well I'll be damned. Yes!
This is perhaps not really an answer to the question, but I’ve noticed that in America (at least in Georgia and Virginia), a huge amount of cars have a single, very slim decal line going across the side, front to back, usually beige or gold colored. Very sober, hard to see from far away.
I stopped being noble just a few months (months!) ago, installed ad blocker on my phone, and only use it to visit io9, Jalopnik and Youtube. It’s become patently silly to try to read io9 or Jalopnik without an ad blocker. I mean seriously:
“Does anyone think the 9-2X is the worst Saab? The 9-7x and 9-4x reserve that right.”
Rob!! Io9 is crashing and burning! Been coming here since 2008 for crying out loud. Please, say something. Do something.
So expressing opinions you disagree with makes one a troll then?
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve been driving Saab since 2009, and have never had a single crippling issue. Sure, some minor electronic glitches, and once in a while maintenance is slightly more expensive than expected, but honestly, that’s it.
Ditto. Incredible. It's not even acknowledged by anyone. Just a stone cold "deal with it". That'll teach me for being a loyal visitor since 2008, I guess. What website is a good replacement?

You magnificent bastard! A goddamn Roadmaster. Love it.
