Except she wasn’t asked to get naked. Check her own tweet explaining it.

Goddamn that is annoying. It’s like they want to actively get rid of readers.

I’ll have to disagree strongly. I just checked it again, she looks like she’s stepping off a step, into the darkness. It doesn’t look like “collapsing” in the slightest.

Give me a break. I’m sure Ariel’s mom is batshit insane, but look at this pic, for crying out loud. She’s not exactly a savvy dresser, to put it mildly. It’s ironic indeed that she turned into what she says her Mom wanted her to become.

I know it was a quick dimly shot, but it was unequivocally there, for everyone to see. It wasn’t a subliminal “one frame blink and you miss it” type thing. People are weird.

Can somene explain to me why there is/was any kind of confusion among fans as to whether or not Ahsoka survived her encounter with Darth Vader?

“Really anything where the Robot needs social kills.”

I mean, she looks so much like Dakota Fanning I’d be shocked if it wasn’t in fact her.

I was talking about the reason why there are so few female superhero movies.

I see what yo mean, but isn’t that an incredibly short term solution? Sure, it enables certain girls to now play sports when before they could not, but doesn’t this *enable* islam’s patriarchy?

Can I ask where you live? Because that is certainly interesting and sounds positive.

I appreciate the thoughtful reply, but it doesn’t really answer the question I asked, does it? If you don’t mind me saying so, your answer was very much like that of a politician in that you kind of dodged the point I was trying to make, and then said some uplifting stuff.

I know. How is that relevant to my post?

Agreed. But isn’t that right there exactly the point? I’m pretty sure these Hollywood decisions just boil down to focus groups and profit projections. Why are there fewer women led superhero movies and blockbusters? I’m pretty sure that’s because - in general and on average - female audiences prefer a different type

Can someone explain to me how it’s not hypocritical and a clear symptom of double standards to simultaneously agree with both these statements:

You just said exactly what I was going to say. Are you in my head? God, what I wouldn’t give for a well made Trek show set post TNG/DS9/VOY.

Strong rebuttal. I said I understood I would come across as a tool and would get shit over it. But my gut feeling means as much or as little as your dislike of it. We both know if something like this was committed by one of the groups this website actively dislikes (and rightfully so, most of the time) like the GOP,

I don’t know why, but I’m feeling confrontational right now, so I guess I should apologize in advance if that shows, but I would really love it if you could answer these 2 questions for me. Disclaimer: I’m a secular liberal who voted for Hillary Clinton.

Do you enjoy missing every single one of the points I am trying to make, failing to refute even one of them, and subsequently resorting to insults?

Exactly.
