I appreciate the thoughtful reply, but it doesn’t really answer the question I asked, does it? If you don’t mind me saying so, your answer was very much like that of a politician in that you kind of dodged the point I was trying to make, and then said some uplifting stuff.

Can someone explain to me how it’s not hypocritical and a clear symptom of double standards to simultaneously agree with both these statements:

Strong rebuttal. I said I understood I would come across as a tool and would get shit over it. But my gut feeling means as much or as little as your dislike of it. We both know if something like this was committed by one of the groups this website actively dislikes (and rightfully so, most of the time) like the GOP,

I don’t know why, but I’m feeling confrontational right now, so I guess I should apologize in advance if that shows, but I would really love it if you could answer these 2 questions for me. Disclaimer: I’m a secular liberal who voted for Hillary Clinton.

Do you enjoy missing every single one of the points I am trying to make, failing to refute even one of them, and subsequently resorting to insults?

Exactly.

I’m not sure I get your point, but then again, I’m not sure you got mine either.

My gut feeling based on experience here and on other websites that lean towards a particular side on the political spectrum. Every time some right wing nutjob says or does something horrible, there is a certain sense of perverse gloating here, which is perfectly human, by the way. “See how fucked up they are, look

I understand that, and I appreciate your quick feedback. But like I said, if this atrocity had been committee by a Dylan Roof type figure, I am sure that would have been mentioned clearly and repeatedly, even in an article to commemorate the victims. I mean, I can’t really prove that, but it’s my gut feeling. Am I

This bombing was committed by a radical islamic terrorist. It’s not just a random bombing by an anonymous individual for no reason. If it was committed by a Republican NRA member I am 100% convinced that would have been mentioned clearly and repeatedly. Your agenda is showing. And I say that as a die hard liberal,

It’s religion. Religion makes people do crazy stuff.

Exactly. This is why I can’t get on board with the Cars movies, there is zero internal logic. It’s lazy storytelling!

A religion and a cult are two sides of the same coin, obviously. One is accepted in society because of reasons, the other is not. Same basic principle though.

Long story short: all organized religion is madness by design, brainwashing people, and holding humanity back. It drags us down like an anchor.

So... In a couple hundred years - god forbid, pun intended - you’d be ok with it if the insanity that is scientology was mainstream?

Yep, it looks like a teenager glued an ipad to the dash of his beater car to make it look swanky.

Agreed. Same thing with Mercedes interiors: It look like a 19-year old glued his ipad to the dash of his beater car to make it seem like it’s swanky, Pimp My Ride-style. (I’m being harsh, but still.)

Oh god that is horrible!

Nailed it!

Exactly, thank you. It’s terrible. I thought it was just me. Spectacularly bad headline, ugh
