It’s been 4 movies, Bay! He could talk in the cartoon. There’s no reason for him to remain this weird radio mumbling robot-child.
Right now he seems less of a sentient robot, and more the dog from Up, except armed with laser cannons.

In general, soccer is the biggest sport in Europe, including Belgium. Cycling is extremely popular as well, as is cyclocross in a few countries (one of them including Belgium), but if you want to compare it to football in America, then the equivalent is definitely soccer.
Hardly any cheerleaders at all in soccer…
