The fact that P&W was pre-selected to make the engines pretty much means the engine will be a non-afterburner version of the F135 currently used for the F-35. This way the common core will simplify the logistics and spread the cost of the engines out further for both programs.

In my headcanon, red sabres have less inertia than blue or green ones. Means they’re easier to swing but harder to absorb impacts with (the blade kicks back under impact more readily).

One interesting thing to note is that polymer prop swords used in many TV/movie fight scenes are actually heavier than hero prop/real swords made of actual steel. Steel’s high strength means you can make the blade thinner than a comparable sword made of resin without looking floppy in motion.

I am not scrolling up to take a close look at Trump’s bodily fluids, thank you very much.

Or compromised. It’s as if whatever impulse Pelosi might have to accede to impeach comes to a screeching halt whenever Trump waves a fat manila envelope in her field of view and mouths “I have receipts...”

I know a guy who can build one in a cave. With a box of scrap.

When the ‘pilot error’ happens to be “...departure from controlled flight in high-alpha conditions due to the increased moment arm from engines that exceed the nominal performance tolerances of the original airframe design...” it sure sounds like a mistake, but not on part of the pilot.

Tom Clancy touched upon this in Red Storm Rising when a Royal Navy helicopter successfully depth-charged a Soviet sub hiding on the ocean floor near the wreck of the Andrea Doria. The Americans who steered the Brits in for the kill asked if the Royal Navy wanted credit. When the Brits said ‘Yes’ the Americans replied

Hard for me to proofread when everything is just so grey...

Let’s get the ball rolling, then. Repeal the 22nd! Do it today, before Trump clues in to the fact he’s not the only President who’ll be free to run for a third term if he manages to pull this off.

I’m here to help the children when it’s easy and when it’s hard. Some of you are here to make a beautiful pâté but we’re making sausage most of the time,” Pelosi told the caucus.”

Question is, who whips out a rapier and then who has an aide drag up for them an 18-pound jewel-encrusted bearing sword with a giant letter ‘T’ in gold filagree on the blade?

All the terrorists would have to do is attack from the middle of the street. The tanks wouldn’t be able to reach them there for fear of damaging the asphalt.

I have it on good authority that the USS Nimitz would have saved Pearl Harbor and helped out FDR’s administration, but Republicans used global warming to create a storm which snatched the ship back to the present before they could counter the Japanese attack.

Buy American.

Had no idea he was some watery tart lying in ponds, distributing weaponry.

“...the only thing weirder... is the fact that he apparently keeps his sword mounted on a plaque instead of carrying it with him everywhere he goes.”

I used to be a sword nut like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee.

You don’t know the half of it: Voyager 1 could have become the first spacecraft to fly by Pluto, but they had a choice to make at Saturn. Either they send Voyager 1 on a course to fly by the moon Titan, or they send it on a course for Pluto. They couldn’t do both.

“...Well... as intelligent as any intelligence agency can be. ...”
