Apparently it’s using a vulnerability that was publicized by the NSA leaks... There’s a patch that was released for it in March, but I guess that a lot of people and organizations haven’t updated their computers recently.

Oh for sure, most of the problems probably come from young men who have never left the US before and go crazy once they get to a country where the alcohol is cheap and free-flowing (especially is they’re under 21). I work in an industry that has a decent number of H1-B holders (biotech) and I also see all the candidates. To be honest, a lot of (if not most of) the American candidates I see can’t compare to their foreign-born counterparts. The best candidates tend to be from India, China, former Eastern Bloc countries, and so on,…

Aaaand on that note, apparently last night a man walked into a crowded bar in Kansas and attempted to murder three people because two of them “looked middle eastern.” They’re already floating the “well he might have PTSD so even though witnesses say he was screaming racial slurs at the men it’s not a hate crime”…

It is illegal and unconstitutional, but by the time the lawsuits against this get through the courts and the order is overturned a lot of the people this hurts will probably already be either dead or unable to try again.
