Between this and The Land Before Time being on Netflix there are a lot of childhood traumas bubbling to the surface right now...

The last time I was in Rio visiting my family there was several years ago and even then people were saying what a disaster the Olympics would be. People from Rio didn’t want this. It was forced on them by the government.

At a lot of colleges if you call emergency services while on campus they redirect the call to campus police instead of the local police. The only way the local police would show up is if the victim had the presence of mind and the strength to insist.

I wonder how quickly these things will be restricted... this seems to be the new way to pretend that your eating disorder is healthy. The same thing happened with emetics. They used to be fairly easy to find OTC, and now it’s way more difficult since people are more aware of bulimia.

This is just the newest way to conceal an eating disorder and pretend it’s healthy. People have gradually become more aware of anorexia and bulimia, so now this is the “trend” for women with eating disorders, since most people haven’t caught on to how bad it is for you yet. It’s awful.

That’s... adorable yet odd. Does she consider “fart” to be a curse word, like how some super-religious people object to “butt” and “suck?” Hm. Interesting.

but what does the kid call farts??? I’m so confused

Yup. And the parents get mad when she doesn’t want to change the kid’s diaper. Which she can’t... pretty sure legally she isn’t allowed to go anywhere near that area of a student’s body. There are a lot of terrible parents out there, apparently.

If you don’t talk about anything related to bodies or sex then the kids will never know or wonder until their extremely virginal selves get “the talk” the night before their weddings, right? That’s totally how it works!

You kid is not even 3 and potty trained? I’m amazed! A friend of mine teaches kindergarten and over half of her students still aren’t.

I mean if I owned a Cuyp painting I’d want to show it to everyone I knew...

Is it just me, or is “well-off working class people” a bit of an oxymoron... sounds more like “bougie people who don’t want to admit they’re bougie.”

Ugh that’s disgusting I’m sorry. No one should have to put up with that bullshit

I’ve always just used Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo to wash brushes. It’s cheap and seems to work pretty well

Thanks. It’s not as bad as it could have been since I was starting to think about maybe breaking up with him because he wouldn’t commit the way I wanted him to (and now I know why), but yeah, it was kind of an awful discovery and I’m pretty much been sobbing for the last couple of days. I keep telling myself that

I tend to go a little more intense coverage-wise just because makeup is a hobby for me, so I haven’t tried a BB cream, but the simplicity of it sounds nice! I might try it out sometime, thanks!

Thanks!

You know I think you’re right. Now that I think about it it makes sense... as I said before one of my parents is German so I’ve spoken the language my whole life, and growing up in a pretty Jewish neighborhood I just kind of picked it up and use a decent amount of Yiddish in my everyday vocabulary. Now it seems so

Ugh I feel your pain. I just recently (like this week) ended a relationship when I found out that my “boyfriend” was actually using me as his long-term fling. Found out when I saw his Facebook engagement announcement. It’s the shittiest, but don’t let other people tell you how you should feel or act... you have to

Ha yup that’s probably the best option... I don’t want to mislead people but a also don’t want to be rude about correcting people.
