Or you could just buy an ATI card and watch it never overheat. Why is is that every single thing I ever find about overheating graphics cards is somehow related to nvidia. Does the constant overheating somehow make them better? Either way I've owned many, many ATI cards and never once had an issue with any of them.

You also have to factor in the amount it is actually carrying which makes ships by far one of the most efficient methods of transportation (trains would be pretty high up there as well)

Well if your math is correct that makes it able to move 137899 pounds per gallon of fuel per hour. I'd say thats pretty damn efficient if you ask me... (ships and trains use lots of fuel/energy but you have to look at efficiency per whatever carried. ships and trains easily beat any other method of transportation in

You've never seen what doctors charge insurance companies do you? I bet you also didn't know that doctors can charge a car insurance company whatever the hell they want because there is no cost verification there? Yes a doctor can charge your car insurance company $5,000 for a tylenol if you get into a car accident.

And they are, it is so blatantly obvious those patents only exist for frivolous lawsuits because Apple is realizing they don't have enough fanboys.

I used to like Apple back when they were actually unique and didn't troll the hell out of other companies doing better then them. If they didn't ever come up with the iPod they'd be long gone and forgotten (and right about now I truly wish that had happened)

So incredibly vague patents that can cover just about anything electronic are perfectly ok? Judging by just a few of those they could sue your fridge manufacturer because it has a micro controller (tiny cpu) in it that it uses to monitor data and change something else. They could even claim the something similar to

Oh dear...

If the studios sold digital copies of movies in many different resolutions (ranging from DVD, 720p, 1080p, or higher) and then charged a flat per gigabyte fee of around $0.20/gb I'd be fine with that.

What part of "costless reproductions" don't you understand? I can somewhat justify the purchase of the DVD's and especially of the DVD/Blu-Ray (Blu-Ray does have excellent quality and the fact that the optical media actually exists making it a tangible good) combo packs with how cheap they have gotten but not digital

A doctor has to physically work with you thus providing a service.

but digital content is a product

XBL is a prime example of what notch was talking about. Costs as little as $40 per year, but guess what? Not a day goes by that someone doesn't try to scam the system and get in for free or try to get MS points without paying for them

Nobody has ever heard of you or your project, so what "service" are you going to sell and why should people buy it over the alternative?

How idiotic of a statement can you possibly make? If it was free, who do you expect to spend countless hours of time, effort, and investment money to actually CREATE the "digital information" in the first place?!?! Moron.

Now, did the physician provide you with any TANGIBLE goods? NO.

never would have happened if they hadn't been chasing him

If people willingly want to give their money up for something then so be it. The having to pay for an intangible good is what irks me the most.
