I just can’t with all these games. I’m still working my way through Yakuza 0. Then it’s Horizon ZD, and Mass Effect soon, and Nier and now this. Not to mention, Zelda.

It would be cool if Kotaku could do an idiots guide to Shogi and Mahjong; I want to be able to play them in the game but I’m dumb and having a hard time learning even the basics.

I thought of the same comparison, but I’m just enjoying the story and silly sidequests too much to care.

Same. I’ve started progressing through the story more rapidly after the Aranea fight, as it was awesome but too easy. It felt like it should have been more difficult to be really appreciated.

I never finished this game, the fact that you couldn’t level up your companions was bizarre and game breaking for me. Later on in the game I remember them being a brief distraction for enemies before dying, then it was all up to me. Baffling design decision I couldn’t get past.

I’m sure it does, I only ask because Journey was one of the more interesting multi-player experiences I’ve played and I wanted something like that again. I’m sure I’ll still grab this in the coming weeks. At the very least, games like this are such a great palette cleanser for me, and at their best can be wonderful…

31 year old here. While I’m not really into it, I don’t think it’s pure awful but I don’t think it’s aimed at me either. The only gaming youtuber I’ve ever liked is Many A True Nerd, but even then I’ve only watched his Fallout videos.

The wikipedia page for Playdead says it’s a time-limited exclusive release, so sounds like it will be. Although it’s up to you how reliable that info is.
