They obviously did it for shock value or so they can show us they actually remembered him 

I think they kept Mikhail *red daughter's friend* alive so the audience wouldn't get mad at them for killing a kid but they still managed to mess it up by never having red daughter know

I can’t even feel bad that Jeremiah is dead because for the most part this show has forgotten him. Even Alex who was going to  search for him stopped pretty quickly

if you are talking about the timeline where the sky is seeded with kryptonite lena didn’t let kara die, she was all the way in metropolis talking to sam and was too far away to help out

i really have to agree with that

it turned out better than it could have because the original plan was for sam/reign to die

they do that with a lot of characters

Kara could have told Lena the truth in a much less traumatic way than lex did and she kept the truth from her while everyone else knew 

lena saved the world from medusa, helped drive the daxamites away and yet no one ever thanks her

it really does feel like kara is choosing to focus on the reality where lena turned evil instead of the ones where she turned into an ally

it was completely unnecessary to write william as a jerk at the start of the season. just as unnecessary as giving him a wife as part of his cover story. kara only started not liking having kryptonite around once superman showed up and had a problem with the deo having it. she didn’t have these same issues in season…
