EGR, I am irate that you, Jezebel and Gawker Media have refused to cover the breaking story about the delicious chorizo burrito and coffee I am having while I delay working. An unconscionable editorial decision and obvious evidence of poor journalism skills. What is Jezebel hiding?!?

#Peegate and #wankergate, actually, at least on Twitter. #Peegate’s gotten more traction, though, and the results have been very funny and sometimes damn clever.

I will apologize for nothing.

Pissing in a sink is one thing, pissing in your customer’s cup, in their kitchen is the dimension of the story that is important.

And probably a fair number of agile women.

I’d click all the way through.

Because the average reader doesn’t know about the Chinese wall between ad and editorial staff decisions. And will assume, wrongly, that Jezebel is being hypocritical by not running a pro-choice ad. And this will cause controversy that will (they hope) go viral and even spill over into the mainstream media, since the

:D I am v. common but my non-Brit friends always think my accent is distinguished and I milk it for all it’s worth. Like yes, I am a refined lady of quality, sat here, in my dressing gown, eating macaroni cheese from the container.

<3 I am a Brit in a long-distance relationship with an American and he is simultaneously charmed by my accent and pretend-cross with my tendency to use 'wrong' words for things. So I do it more, for the funsies.

In my (lesbian) experience: Some women will insist on paying just like dudes, but I have found that it’s pretty easy to institute splitting or turn-taking because we don’t have the same cultural baggage. When I met my partner, we split the first date and discovered that we both strongly prefer splitting — so it was a

I ~hate~ when anyone pays for me. Friends, my parents, but especially dates. Usually men were cool about this and we split, but I’ve had so many terrible encounters. It’s like a red flag. My very first ‘real’ date the guy turned into a shrieking toddler because I tried to pay. He paid for the movies, so I figured I

God this is the kind of good news I needed to see this week for domestic violence support. I’ve had a hard fucking week. My brother and sister-in-law had an epic blowout Monday that led to me getting my sister-in-law and her kids out of their house. I have no regrets about taking their side in the dispute, but it’s

This is America. And in America, you have to open doors in order to walk through them. Okay?! Get it right the first time!

“...and THAT’S why you should never be a racist, xenophobic, classist asshole.”

That hasn’t been my experience, but mileage varies.

Oh, so it’s not splitting in general, it’s that they’re not ACCURATELY splitting that bothers you.

I guess I don’t understand why you think it isn’t fair for each person to pay for what they ordered (with tax and tip, assuming it’s calculated properly). And why do you feel that splitting the bill evenly, regardless of the difference in costs, is more fair?

Sure it’s a shared experience, but it takes like 3 seconds to ask the server to split the check at the beginning of the meal. (I agree that it’s not a good idea to ask at the end) I don’t see how doing that somehow makes it less of a shared experience. It’s not a thing you have to think about again and then no fuss

Hell yes its ok to shame her. Bing cheap is fine, stealing shit is not. Stealing from a god damn library is really really far from ok.
