Wow, the amount of people up in arms over POC allowed to voice cartoon characters that represent POC is.... amazing. Especially for shows that rank in millions a year.

This is a show that also rewards the viewer with repeated viewings. So many little details in the backgrounds of scenes that play out later in the series that are so easily missed. Plus some of those little details, like titles of books on shelves, give the narrative an expansion if you look up the materials online!

I ended up taking notes and drawing family trees.

One of the best shows on Netflix.  You need to watch it with original German audio and english subtitles (if you need them).  This isn’t a show you can watch while also browsing on your phone.

My wife and I stumbled across this when it first came out and love it. It’s not a show you can casually watch with a couple glasses of wine in you.  You have to pay attention and be clear headed to keep track of who’s related to who and what time you’re in.

I like the idea that SE is just really lousy at the secretive part of being a ninja. Like he just can’t help but tell everyone about his membership in the elusive organization because he thinks it’ll impress Scarlet. Had he gone to Yale, he’d have a bunch of t-shirts with the Skull and Bones logo on them.

Well, at least genetically, human biological sex is indeed binary when you look at the numbers of cases where intersex changes occur (which the scientific opinion article you linked above conveniently avoids, and which is 0.028% of all people). Exactly. I greatly enjoyed the first series, but this news has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for the forthcoming season, which is frustrating as I was extremely excited to see Anthony Mackie as the new lead. I need to think through whether I can justify watching the new season...

And the Envoys weren’t revolutionaries trying to bring down the system, they were the elite shock troops of the system.  

That’s disappointing, as the conceit of the series seems like it would lend itself well to a trans positive viewpoint.
