I could watch that intro on a loop for the rest of my life.

I just watch the scene in the Patriot where Mel Gibson and two of his kids go full apeshit on 20 Redcoats, and I can feel my Irish-descended blood saying “Yes” with every tomahawk hit. The rest of the film is at times compelling (the fact that he spends the first 40 minutes arguing against the war is interesting). The

I remembered the last shot with the flag but I forgot that it all took place ON THE STATUE OF LIBERTY

I was just coming to post this very clip. The movie itself is crap, but that intro may the best thing GI Joe ever did, at least in animation.     If that doesn’t make you want to go punch some hippies, I don’t know what will.

Actually, we could probably just go with this:

I might add G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, because nothing screams ‘80s American excess like those Real American Heroes.

Rehabilitation and release seems reasonable for a crime committed by a pre-teen. But I also think the mental health issues they had were clearly brought on somewhat by what started out as a voluntary obsession. Hopefully she stays clear of the obsessive parts of the internet.

He says at 9:32am. I agree. 👍

Scary how much this is like my literal thoughts just pouring onto the screen without my permission.

This would mean a whole lot more if he wasn’t already rich as shit and for all intents and purposes retired. Sigh.

I have an acquaintance who was accousted by Cosby in the 1970s at an industry event. He backed her against a wall and repeatedly asked her for sex. When she refused he told her that he’d ruin her career-and he did. She never worked in that industry again, despite her prior, stellar reputation.

I thought I heard the judge say that he will be forced to pay restitution from his prison duty wages; but I’m sure some asshole will start him a GoFundMe.

He’ll be on 23 hour lockdown for a while, but soon enough he’ll be known as Dicksucker Derek

His tax evasion trial starts next week. I hope they garnish his commissary account.

meh- no one else has the cult of personality going for them to have secured the votes on his behalf. The real risk of losing there would be that all the people who got out this time to make sure trump didn’t get a 2nd term would have been just as complacent as they were in 2016.

But did anyone want him (at least those that voted for him) to change? His base wanted that level of crazy with a nationalistic chaser. The establishment thought they could control him, while still getting what they wanted (gutted government, taxes removed, etc.) and while they couldn’t steer him, they still got

I don’t know why people keep hoping sociopathic old assholes are going to get some moment of awareness and start being nice people just like that

You had one job, Covid!

Shocker, narcissistic sociopaths never change.

Right then, Redfield knew it was over. Trump showed in that moment that he hadn’t changed at all. The pandemic response wasn’t going to change, either.
