The “Siverado” with the mid-gate is a better design, and I’m a Ford guy. I still say they should have called it the EV-lanch though.

I don’t know if you’ve ever driven or owned an Avalanche, but if you haul lumber or sheet goods (or any long material), I think you’re really going to like the 4 door with mid gate configuration if you use it. Its super versatile.

I’m wagering that a large part of it is simply scalability. I doubt they actually lose $33k every time they sell a truck. The $33k number likely just comes from their revenue minus expenditures divided by number of sales. Meaning, if they sold one additional truck, their expenditure would increase by $80k (or whatever…
