I’ve always loved the Sonett. The engine note is interesting as well.

Read my other reply.  I said I only mentioned F-250 because that’s what I owned.  I then compared it to my Nissan Titan which I just sold that got approx 200-220 or so miles when towing.  I think the Lightning is actually close.  I think a 200 mile range between charges is fine just so there’s a “truck stop” like

The range extender in my Chevy Volt was LOUD!!!

approx $40 a month to charge the Chevy Volt I used to have.  Comparatively speaking versus gas that’s great!

To reply to this and a couple others:

I still honestly believe whoever has the longer range will sell more trucks.  It’ll be great if we get to a point where employers are allowing people to charge up during the day, thus eliminating most of the costs associated with owning an EV in regards to charging at home.

Wasn’t really comparing it to my F-250 except for range comparison.  I just sold my 2021 Nissan Titan to Carvana and it got around 220 miles to a tank while towing.

I own a truck because I tow things. Mainly my camper. If the Lightning is bad at the one damn thing a lot of people need it for then its business case is DoA in my opinion. Sure there will be some people who buy it because of the tech, but overall I don’t think the argument is there for that. The contractor grade one

Not an Athens native but I’m only 45 min. away and I do the Winter Bike League that leaves from that Jittery Joes in the winter.  I don’t ever remember that area being a crime area or am I wrong?  Seems like this is an isolated event honestly regardless.

Fetish car?

We used to camp with a couple a few times a year and our favorite running joke was that their 2019 Forest River was a bigger piece of crap than my 2016 Forest River because I had replaced all the junk parts with good...

The 2010-2011 changeover for the Kia Optima was what put them on the map I think.  I’d also say the 2020-2021 death of Optima and birth of the K5 is a big deal as well.

Fun story. I’m an elected official in an unnamed southern state. We have an extremely popular hiking trail that became overrun with new hikers last year requiring we made some local decisions about how to handle the “problem” of a large influx of people in a very rural area. Problem was two-fold:

Same thing happened to my friend with his pre-order.  He walked.  I’m sure someone else will scoop it up day one...

You did.  Look up Longbeard on wasted on league and you’ll know where I’m coming from haha.

If the new F-150 Lightning had this kind of range the tow range likely wouldn’t suck as much as it’s going to and I would’ve considered one.  In the meantime I’ll just keep my big diesel.

It’s almost like these Jeep owners are personalizing something that belongs to them to fit their personality.  How dare they!

Dude missed the boat by not listing on BaT. He’d sell it for 30k lol...

This.  We had a 2016 and my wife wanted a 2019 one since they were halting production.  I talked her into the ecoboost limited and I’m glad I did.  It’s actually a terrific car to drive.  Damn the blend door issues (had it in both) but overall the best road trip vehicle I’ve ever owned!
