I went into that expecting different announcements, but alas I am still excited for many of the games showcased. I keep forgetting the GOTG game is right around the corner, cant wait to get my hands on it.

With that logo font, I thought this had something to do with EVE Online. Then, I checked EVE Online’s logo font, and it’s not quite the same.

“Consuming media” is a disingenuous oversimplification, even in the west gaming and gambling addictions are recognised problems and it’s widely accepted that some media is harmful to children. The comparison is fair, in the context the article explains.

I didn’t say parents click a button on their kids account, I’m not sure where that’s coming from. I said parents can bypass the regulations, as the articles notes when it said “parents aren’t barred from giving their unrestricted adult accounts to their children”.

The article notes parents can bypass the regulations for their children if they choose to. The most substantial difference between this and parental controls in terms of actual effect is the regulations are opt-out while parental controls are opt-in.

Casinos, porn, cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, etc. The list goes on and on.

What I might suggest you do is reflect on why when you hear of somewhere else doing this, you view it as bad, but you implicitly accept it as ‘freedom’ on your own terms. Othering is an extremely powerful tool; right now, it’s extremely

Correct me if I’m wrong, (I’m Canadian) but most parts of the states forbid minors from entering/playing games in in casinos, no?

Amen. I was lucky enough to get a PS5 in late November of last year and my first covid shot in late December. Still got COVID between my first and second shots. At least I didn’t have to go to the hospital, felt like crap for a few days, and “only” lost my sense of taste and smell for months and still have some

Hopefully like America is will soon be very easy for everyone to get a shot who wants one.

Hopefully unlike America you won’t have crazy people refusing to get the vaccine and dying unnecessarily.

Yep, and I think if we keep screaming our demands it might pay off. I feel like the popular consensus is changing. TLOU2 was praised for it’s accessibility options. Hades has a feature that helps with difficulty. The new Axiom also has adjustments you can make to scale difficulty. I could see From caving on this,

Also, You are ABSOLUTELY free to demand that something be changed for your individual benefit.

Making a game accessible isn’t the same as removing interactivity entirely.  There’s no sense of exploration or discovery involved in watching someone else play.  I’m glad that works for you, but I couldn’t find any more joy in watching a video game than I could in listening to a movie without the video.

LMAO. Couldn’t help it. It’s honestly one of my favorite Gamer Tantrums to witness.

How is it a worse version to include accessibility options? Or are you saying you’re too much of a cuck and a coward to ignore them so you would HAVE to play on easy mode because in reality you’re a little beta bitch?

You’re still replying with these nonsensical “thoughts”? I don’t need to tell you that ANYONE can listen to Beethoven’s 5th right? Is this literally the best you got junior?

You can practice and get good enough to beat the game.

Not really applicable either as bowling and running aren’t part of the moviegoing experience. I used the example of Beethoven’s music before. Let’s say I enjoy playing music but can’t wrap my head around the complexities of his work. Should he dumb down the music to cater to my personal wishes even though it goes

Yes, maybe you should ask yourself, “why does including an easy mode make me so angry? why did I just post 9 times in a row on this person’s thread because they suggested an easier way to play the game be included? Why am I so bent out of shape over this thing that would in no way affect me or my enjoyment of the

Not really comparable, since movies don’t have a skill gate, regardless of genre.

Agreed. Besides being older than I was when I played Dark Souls and their other games, I’ve also had my hand crushed and have lost dexterity in it as a result. The fact that they refuse to offer accessibility options is really not acceptable. And for all the frothing, Wojack tear stained Gamers who post either “Games
