This game is amazing. The next WoW killer no doubt. The developers are vastly superior and actually communicate with the community. Cannot say the same for Blizzard at all.

"It's coming out on the 8th."
"Alright."
"No, wait, it's not coming out on the 8th after all."
"Okay."

Is anyone coming down with "Next Gen Fever"?

Today's Desktop.

While the great wester market is 80% CoD, Gears or Halo clones! Truly the western developers are the top tier of game developers.

Too talky and aren't good at evoking empathy? Wtf you talking about? If anything it's Western games that put "time to kill 5 billion bullet spongey enemies" inbefore about 4-5 words of

ever since Sony announced the PS4 I feel like Microsoft is freaking out and rushing everything. I seriously think they expected Sony to wait and let them reveal their console first but Sony went ahead and showed they were ready and now Microsoft has to run not to be left behind. They rushed the 360 to try getting a

No thanks. I'll stick with the black consoles. I do find it amusing that whether a console launches in white or black everyone seems to want to see the other color.

Looks more like an 80s-era VHS player.

It's weird how little value life has in both China and the usa.

I would pay a somewhat absurd amount of money for just about all of their games if Paradox put some more resources into accessibility. I know the community is phenomenal, and there's YouTube videos etc. etc. etc., but what I really want is for them to finally include a competent tutorial and intuitive and accessible

Well, that would break the point of wearing Winter Clothes, so there should be an "OR" in there.

Looks fantastic. Something that will always trick people into buying an iOS game only to realize the controls suck.

The bird's eye view camera setting as well as the small yet dense island environments automatically differentiates the game from any 'Wind Waker' bullshit. Looks super fun.

Agreed. Just as the person responded in my other comment, a TON of people think this game is just the same game that was released original but with some minor changes.

I know the NA servers were having issues yesterday and players were plaguing the JP servers. I've been playing on the JP servers since the start of early access and the situation on the JP servers have been smooth so far except the minor latency spike after the sudden increase in player count coming most from the NA

Right!?

I was just telling a friend a bit ago that I'm frustrated that the quality of the gameplay is going to get side stepped by "OMG LAUNCH ERRORS BROKEN SHOULD BE FIXED LOL XIV" all over the forums and this sure won't help.

relaunch of an mmo that got everything about it ripped out and replaced from the net code to the assets, and numerous servers added.

It's not just ffxiv with a patch.

Apart from everyone saying "yep, this is a popular mmo launch, they're all like this..." Here's what I'm gonna ask. As a video game fan, and as a Final Fantasy fan:

BREAKING NEWS: MMO HAS SHITTY LAUNCH PROBLEMS :p

It will obviously be fine. Launch stutters happen to almost every game, and the beta ran with no hitches at all. It feels kind of low to exploit a small, typical thing like this (on a pre-launch, no less) for journalism just because the previous attempt at making the game had game design (not server-related) issues.
