I still really enjoy Duke Nukem.. Product of its time but it's just so ridiculous and over the top it transcends offensiveness and goes straight into mindless comedy

If they can turn Lo Wang into a likable character, they can salvage Duke Nukem, especially since the established character in the platform games was actually pretty entertaining. Why is there all the hate for Duke Nukem? You can enjoy the humor of Duke and not be onboard with people behaving that way in real life.

You do realize that it was a passion project right with plans on reviving the franchise, modernizing it, and keeping vidya gayme history alive. I mean, this site was quite positive on it way back when.

Even as a parody of action heroes of the era, Duke Nukem the character—a brash asshole who revels in misogyny and toxic masculinity—just doesn’t work anymore.

Counterpoint if all fiction was based on blandly politically correct people it would be very boring and have very little actual meaning.

You’re not powerless though. Over a million people yelled at them about BF2, and we ended up getting a MASSIVELY improved game over a relatively short time span.

If it's "multiplayer focused" I'm expecting a bunch of season pass bullshit with skins and 4 types of currency.

Probably a multiplayer game from the sounds of it. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a story/campaign X-Wing style :(
