It’s good to hear that it is turned out so well. I have to say, the initial trailers didn’t impress me, especially after Halo 5, but playing the Multiplayer I realized that the marketing screenshots don’t do a good job of really portraying how nice it looks.

I’ve tested local streaming, where my PC is connected by ethernet and I’m a few feet away from the router with my mobile device and while the performance is definitely usable, there’s a noticeable lag compared to playing directly on PC. It’s enough that it means that any competitive multiplayer game is not ideal that

It’s also hard to believe that the success of the company is really due to his direction, for the games they release I imagine any contribution from him is very minimal. If he was gone they could have done just as well if not better.

What it looks to me is that they just dropped the game world into Unreal Engine 4 and thought it would work, likely they aren’t using systems to reduce draw calls so that’s why something so terrible looking is running as poor as it does on powerful hardware.

They moved it to an entirely different engine, it fundamentally can’t run like the original game so it wouldn’t be possibile for it to toggle between them. It’s just so insane that they decided the best option would be to change engines and that that would be an easy thing to do.

It seems so similar to their other games I just don’t know what the appeal is

This is not a worthwhile news article, a new studio with only a handful of people working there has no women? Call the presses!

It looks like it’s pulling from some other sources as well, like the reference to “Meths” in your Cyberpunk one is from Altered Carbon

Can anyone explain how “3D Audio” works coming from some shitty stereo speakers coming from a TV? Really for everything that claims to do some kind of spatial audio from devices that physically do not have it just seems like scam. I had a Dolby Atmos setup with the speakers that are angled at the ceiling where it’s

One of my favorite games of the year so far. The game is just really cool,  it also looks great in ultrawide!

The team that did KOTOR also did Mass Effect, and really the main difference between the two is that Mass Effect is a shooter, the mechanics outside of that are extremely similar which is also why the first Mass Effect isn’t a very good shooter since they were trying to apply RPG mechanics to it.

Some of those changes that are made to get released in China also get reflected in other parts of the world that don’t require those changes. It costs money to maintain multiple versions and so studios don’t always want to do that.

Some regulation is good, we should be doing more to combat gambling mechanics in games for sure, but what you’re saying is very general and there’s many worse things they could do with regulation, like what China is doing. They’re basically killing the gaming market for people under 18, which would be devastating if

People have been concerned about the influence on China on the western gaming market due to a large Chinese audience that could make a lot of money, with stuff like this it makes you wonder if that’s really something to be worried about when they’re self-sabotaging their own gaming industry.

It does still look really great, I needed some reference of Anakin’s pod at one point so I went through it shot to shot and noticed some things like there’s some floating rocks in the part where they enter the curve with the Tusken Raiders. The shots from the deleted scenes that they put in also don’t look as good as

I took a look at the page listing for their spaceships years ago and was disappointed to find that most of them were only in a concept phase and weren’t even close to being ready in-game. I recently checked it out again and—not much has changed, still ship after ship that’s not anywhere near close to being done.

This reminds me of the VFX they did for the pod race in Star Wars Episode I. They had their miniatures department sculpt and paint miniature rock structures and then they took them outside and fixed them to a gimble where they could adjust the angle of how the sun was shining on them and then photographed them. Later

This is one of the stupidest lists I’ve seen on this site

I think we should stop using the word Remaster, which has been used for a wide variety of meanings all the way from updated graphics down to simply re-releasing it on a new console. While it’s nice to have available on a new console it’s disappointing if they aren’t doing any graphical improvements other than

Can’t get behind that defense. Like is there really an issue with gaming addiction among youths or do they just have a broader definition of what that means? Even then, why is it so hard for a parent to limit their kids gaming time if they have a problem with it? Also, slippery slope, while kids could get around it
