ah, the ol’ Mormon Assault Vehicle

when the top tax bracket stops around $600k - you know how they are trying to divide us.

God this site is toxic, you still haven’t explained why it’s a tremendously stupid idea. But just of the top of my head I can think of a few problems with pure sales tax. Nobody wealthy would even bother buying US goods, it’d be really annoying trying to make small purchases and tax dodging would be too easy with cash

It’s too bad Sabine Schmitz isn’t still alive:

Amen. Don’t forget about the wide turns. Anytime I see one of these making a right out of the Starbucks, I know they’re going to almost hit the curb of the oncoming traffic lane.

I’m going to repost this on Facebook.

All Stellantis has to do is come up with one more front end design, glue on a couple of badges, and they will have a second Chrysler model for the showroom, to keep the Pacifica company.

I flew on a max on Sunday from Orlando to Midway. Smooth flight. Only thing smooth about that entire day (canceled flights, mass chaos, got home 14 hours after plan).  My initial flight was supposed to be 737-800, which are generally regarded as safe models.

I downloaded an album on Limewire that had a voiceover in the middle of every song, basically a watermark, with the name of a company or radio station that released the bootleg. I played that album on repeat all summer, and even though I now legally stream that album, I can still mentally hear the spots where those

Same, except it’s not the direct actions of a driver (voluntary or involuntary) that I’m worried about. Trucks blow tires ALL THE TIME, and for some strange reason there seems to be an awful lot of videos on YouTube with passenger vehicles’ tires popping off and flying around the freeway.

The dashcam video on this site recently of a pickup truck tire coming off, rolling in front of a Kia Soul, which then caused the Soul to go airborne and flip over at highway speed still lingers with me.

I had a semi speed past me in the exit-only lane on the highway and yank it just as the lane ended with half the trailer in front and the other half still behind. Good brakes for the win. Thankfully no one rear-ended me or shoved my car under the trailer tires.

Videos on reddit of massive trucks suddenly veering into oncoming traffic and obliterating an entire SUV or sedan... I FEEL you. I will pass and quickly lose anyone who looks distracted.

Wreck it Ralph style

Too bad those LED tail lights are somewhat failure-prone and made of unobtanium.

And ban gloss primer-gray paint jobs.

Also the opening is a banger :)

Containing the battery within the wheelbase helps with weight distribution and lessens the probability of a battery failure in a collision.

I like that idea a lot. Maybe a billion dollar company could have pathways to temporarily reopen their stocks program if they’re trying to build out a huge initiative (especially if there’s some sort of benefit to the government or general citizenry, like a space program or large-scale environmental innovation), but

Or we could just go back to making stock buybacks illegal...which they were until Reagan.
